As I mentioned in a previous post, I'll be purchasing a new vehicle this year (Black 2005 F150) and I'm wanting to learn a little something about the right way to keep it clean. I've probably waxed a car ONCE in my lifetime, so everything I've been reading here is brand new and quite frankly overwhelming. (The acronyms alone make my head spin!)
I guess what I'm looking for, and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, are some basic how-to's or tutorials about detailing. I want to learn about the concepts before I get into the hundreds of different details products available. (I can see you fellas are great for that stuff!) In other words, I see talk about washing, claying, polishing, sealing, waxing....etc. Do I need to do all these things? And more importantly WHY do I need to do all these things? Just a basic rundown - kinda like a "Detailing 101" class.
Sorry to sound so needy, but I really like to know everything I can about something before I get into it. This kind of info must have been published somewhere, right?
Thank you!
