Hey Picus and SB, how does vintage make washing your car easier? Does it make dirt and debris rinse off easier? You still go over your car with a a wash mitt or sponge correct? The only reason I am asking, is that I have never noticed something not washing off my car fairly easy.

So to answer the question about how Vintage lessens the car washing load... As Picus mentioned, Vintage is *extremely* easy to clean. And most of the time, I clean it without ever touching the paint. I've done a bunch of threads on this (that have pictures), so I'm not gonna rehash old stuff. I've tried many, many, many LSP's. None of them are able to come clean using a completely touchless method like Vintage.

I don't know about SB, but at first I was applying Vintage a lot, like every 2 weeks. The last time I applied it was about a month ago and it's holding up well so far. 3-4 washes in now.

That's true! I'm up to melting much more important things now! (Don't ask.) And oh yeah, I have Hyrdroshocks in everything *except* my PPK/S, and that's just because I prefer the Eagle Talons in that one.

Hehe, yeah, sometimes I have a hard time determining durability because of putting another layer over whatever I had on it before. Every two weeks will certainly ensure protection at all times, and with lifetime refills why not.

On my dads car it was still going after 9 weeks, but that's not his daily. He does drive it about 100km a week, though. On drivers it seems like it'll start to disappear around 5-6 weeks, at least around here.

I should start counting, of course I'm down to 1/2 my tub. If I had to guess I'd say to this point I've applied it, oh, 30 times between my car, my wifes car, dads and moms, and sisters (and brother in law once...shhh ). I have like 45% of the tub left. Maybe on my next one I'll count.

However, if Picus's estimate is correct, and he has used it about 30 times and has 45% left, that makes me believe that a user should be able to get about 50 uses or four years of use with monthly application or two years worth of use with bi-monthly application like I believe you said you do.



Question, in January and February, are you able to apply Vintage when it is below freezing or does the cold make it simply too thick to be able to apply?



I have thought about giving a boutique wax a try like Onyx or Saphir or Concourso but owning a white car I just can't imagine the improvement in look being very noticable. I wonder if the Swisswax products would be similar to Vintage and make washing as easy as you say?

Concorso is a good wax, I think it looks a lot like Vintage. It does clean up well, but not as good as vintage (imo). It's the one other boutique wax I've tried that I'd buy again.

For some reason I was thinking I heard Zymol was made in Switzerland and you had to ship you containers back to there for refills. Do you ship just the tub back to Zymol or the tub in the glass encasement back?
