Does anyone have any experience with their products like the Extreme Cut, Heavy cut, Medium cut, etc.....

Seems like they have some good products, I was going to buy some HTEC to mix with my OC, but am thinking about picking up some of their other stuff. The price is definitely right.

Do they dust much?

How are they for paint correction?

sunlight??

Thanks for the help guys, I did some searches but didnt come up with any reviews, gotta learn the search tool better, sorry if its been asked already.

I'd also like to know which Hi-Temp polishes, levelers and compounds would work well with a PC instead of a rotary. Thanks.

do they dust much? mix it with the optimum line you shouldnt see much. how are they for paint correction? i love their light cut, it works great. sunlight? never tried it and dont really plan to.

I personally have not used them but I have read about them for years now and no one has ever had a bad thing to say. I know that Sean uses their products.

Damn Jim, thats pretty sick, Im sold!

thanks for the responses everyone! I think im gonna have to try some out.

do you guys mix htec with OP or OC?? Im looking to cut through a REALLY hard clear, would HTEC and OC do the trick you think??

Thanks again for everyones responses!

I'll be getting some very shortly. Everytime I've tried in the past I havent had the dough

I have only used HiTech Extreme Cut with my rotary and I LOVE IT! Finishes down very finely. Little dusting when compared to others.

I've been using alot of thier lines for a couple of years (since Anthony O turned me on to them). Dressings and other stuff besides the polish.

HT-HCL is my goto polish and the work time is incredible. I honestly am troubled by seeing all this used of HT Extreme Cut in as much that I can't imagine what someone would need that kind of correction for.

Considering HCL takes out water spot's/Etching and scratches down to about 1000 grit.

Which sponsors carry HTEC? I can't seem to find it and this looks like it will fill the gap I need for heavier correction.

I haven't posted much lately but I will say that on about 95% of the compounding details I do now I use Extreme Cut or Heavy Cut mixed with a little Opt Polish. The cut:finish ratio is so much better than anything else I've used.

I've also tried Medium Cut Leveler and Smooth Cut, but wasn't quite as impressed with them. They are good, but they don't finish down as smooth as say, 106ff.

Believe it or not I've actually finished with Heavy Cut once or twice on hard paint. I think RAG and I talked about this long ago.

How much OP do you mix in w/ either two? I like to use 4oz bottles for my compounds and polishes. What do you recommend? One ounce of OP w/ 3 of Hi Temp? Thanks!

I will throw out another vote for the extreme cut compound (mixed 50-50 with opt-polish). The other hi-temp stuff I have/use:

APC - nice stuff and cheap

Wheel Cleaner (green stuff) - Junk, doesn't do a great job.

With EC I put one bead of OP and one bead of EC on the panel, so about 50/50. With HC I put less, maybe 25/75 OP/HC. Sometimes I use HC by itself, it gums up pads a bit but works fine.

I agree with GregCavi; the APC is quite good, very strong (requires a lot of dilution). I also tried their "grape dressing" tire shine and it is only ok. Very shiny, lasts awhile, but super, super oily so kind of annoying to work with.

I'm going to post some C&B's today which pretty much all used EC or HC.

Could I just put two ounces of each in one of my 4 ounce bottles and shake well, or would it be best two keep them in separate bottles and mix on pad? Thanks!

I used EC the other day and it worked very well. I used it on a beat up lincoln with severe scratches and the car needed a wool pad to budge these suckers. I used EC on wool and 1000-1200 rpm and they all came out very well. Any higher speeds it wanted to bind the pads, but at 1100 rpm it worked awesome. I was quite impressed how well it worked at such a low rpm. Finished up with a foam and a finish polish and it was perfect. Working at such a low rpm on wool is safe and there was very little trail marks. The foam and finish polish took care of it very easily!

I did try their light cut last year and did not care for it at all, but the EC worked perfect!
