Hey grout sponge pusher

Where do you get those? I was planning to try the GS with ONR. Have you used ONR with a wool mitten?

I get the sea sponges from Autogeek and CMA, they last a long time. I have a couple that are probably over a year old that i haven't used.

I use the mits on wheels.

I guess I'll toss out all those other mitts, schmitts and MF thingies one day soon, maybe I'll give them away to friends that still use old T-shirts to wash their cars with. But when you have a half dozen choices to wash a car with and you grab the grout sponge everytime then it's time to reduce the inventory. I've pretty much nailed down my cleaners and dressings, compounds and polishes and I just experiment with LSP's now. Keeping It Simple!

What do you use for the cleaners/dressings/compounds/polishes?

This would be off the subject of this thread, because the grout sponge is used as a wash media. However you could use a seperate clean sponge for APC cleaning. Never cross contaminate products.

cleaners (what kind of cleaners Paint, APC)- Applicators for paint cleaners, MF/Terry towels for APC cleaning

dressings - Dressing Applicators

compounds/polishes - UDM with Foam Pads

ok I just read all the pages of the post and I am totally disappointed. I live in Greece (yes in Greece) and I cannot find grout sponges. That is ridiculous :(

Well that is where the problem is. The sponge is really made in China just like everything else (hopefully it does not contain lead paint).

Maybe you can do a "special investigative behind-the scenes report" for us and find out if the grout sponge really is made in Greece. and then go behind the scenes with the making of a grout sponge. I am sure that the S-Man would be interested to know how his certified sponge is made.

Careful what you convey as not all the sponges I have seen are made in China......
