I used to detail my car regularly and even did it for some money on the side back in undergrad. I since moved to Chicago and didn't have a car or was too cold for 6 months a year to bother doing much other than a wash and vacuum with a little wipe down. After moving every couple of years around Chicago and now back to Florida my detailing products became old, solutions separated, Porter cable stopped working for a while, then this last move the box of car detailing stuff was lost.
A few months have passed, then I bought a convertible Bimmer this week and am itching to get back into detailing. So I need help picking out products as I'm starting from scratch as everything was lost (brushes, MF towels, Porter cable, pads, products, wipes, etc).
Taking into account that I don't have the free time I used to, I now have a 3yo Silver Audi Q5 and a new Alpine White (nonmetallic) BMW M235 convertible, and I need to keep it simple. What would you guys recommend?
I'm going to start a list of needed products this weekend and post it if that's helpful. Thanks.
