I've used the Sonus SFX polishes on 4 cars and still have some left. I haven't had any of the problems that you've had. Are you suffering from too dry of a pad when you start off. Mist your pad with water first. I've been using the Red Baron Pad lube lately and I like it. Not sure how it changes the polish but it keeps the pad from loading up and the pads are much easier to clean.
You can wipe down the panel with 50/50 water/isopropyl alcohol with a MF then wipe that dry with another MF. That should remove the residue & streaks.
Menzerna Power Gloss would give you more cutting power. I love the menzerna polishes. Easy to use, allow a long working time and have little or no dusting. They also wipe off very clean.
