Help me pick an LSP

S100 hands down. Easy on and easy off and it produces a nice wet deep look. Its not the longest lasting nuba on the market but for the price and ease of use you can not go wrong with S100. Just call a local harley dealer and they should have it.

@denzil

Yes it is VERY difficult keepin it maintained, especially payin 60 bucks per oil change to buy Mobil 1 synthetic..... agh.

@changeling

Thanks man! It was pretty crazy when i got that ACT score, parents are happy to say the least, lol.

I've heard the collinite pop up a whole lot lately, especially for durability, so i might have to look into that.

@waytosslow

Thanks man! Always havin fun with it and more importantly, always tryin not to get caught! lol

I think i'm lookin towards the p21s/s100 since they're practically the same as i have been told. Everyone seems to be happy with them and durability is decent(i think about a month or so). Like i said, i enjoy waxing the car, its my getaway from everything else! I love cars!

@everyone else:

Thanks so much for your help guys, this is why i love this forum. Tons of great people willing to jump in and help others out! I'll let everyone know when i make my decision and DEFINITELY post pics up whenever i get done! Keep the advice comin tho! Knowing me, i'll ALWAYS be trying new products! The search is the best part!(Spending the money is the worst....)lol

@mikelea4ever

yea my dad paid for it, like i said, i got a full ride to college and that was my gift for saving my dad 70,000 dollars.... OCU Cost=104,000 GTO=29,000

@velobard

thanks for the help! haha

For endurance i would go with either Klasse SG, or FK1 #2180

For wettness, i would go with Z2Pro, or OCW

If you need ot work in the sun, then go with one of PB's sealants.

I like 2180 but I've always viewed it as a protection layer rather than a beauty layer. I like applying 3x 2180, then going with whatever LSP I select. The only times I'd specifically avoid it is under an AIO, Zaino, or Zymol.

colinnites 845 wax worsk quite well and surprisingly comes of real easy, of course im looking to get my hands on sum p21s and sum souverain as well :)

@usdm

So it is conclusive that i do need to apply something under the natty's blue? Looks like 2180 or Klasse. The carnauba is for wetness! I've heard a lot of people say Klasse tho.

@velobard

That helps to decide between 2180 an Klasse. Thanks for the input!

@jdm ding-dong

i thought about the p21s, i know someone on here thats sellin a container if you want me to let you know! i've also heard a lot about the 845 tho! thanks!

As always, thanks guys and i'll let ya know what i decide and pics when its done!

Longhorn, congrats on the scholarship!

In regards to the wax, I know you're already bought Natty's Blue, but have a look sometime at CG Pete's '53. It's still on sale for $37 and it's the best thing I've got in my collection of car detailing goods. An amazing wax!

A lot of people don't use sealants and then a wax.

Other than people who use Opti-Seal and then top with a Nauba.:bigups

As far as car wash. Duragloss 901 is amazing and can be picked up locally poorboy's Super Slick and Suds is also great.

No, is is not really required to have anything under Nattys. It can stand alone by itself. Thing is however, that i find it to be more of a "looks" LSP than a "protection" LSP; meaning that it does not last as long as some other waxes (8451w, #16, CMW)..

As for sealants again, I like to look for endurance if I am going to top it. Klasse, 2180, or Z2Pro will do the job fine in endurance (with an added nod to Z2pro and Klasse for looks). When you talk about these brands it becomes a battle of inches, with z2pro lasting a lil longer than klasse, and klasse lasting just a lil longer than 2180. IMHO, though you can go wrong with any of them.

I haven't had the opportunity to use Zaino or Klasse (I presume you're talking about the AIO), but I'm just a little surprised to hear the order you placed these in. From everything I've heard, Zaino would give 2180 an awfully good run for the money on durability and I would expect it to look nicer. OTOH, 2180 has a reputation on working well with a wide range of other products, more so than Zaino. I know Klasse is a quality product by reputation and I have some one the way right now, but I haven't heard quite this level of durability being attributed to it. I would think that by it's nature of being an AIO product with cleaners that it would be expected to fall in line behind 2180 and a few other long-lasting LSPs.

Clearkote's Carnauba Moose will give you the best depth and color deepening for the money. Plus, it has decent durability.

Well i pm'd a pro FK1 user on here and asked him his thoughts on the matter, still waiting for his reply but maybe you guys would like to comment.

Here's the PM

Hey hows it goin?

I'm kinda a newb and trying to figure out if this is a good process, also trying to figure out whether i should buy these form another forum member.

I currently have(my process):

Clay Magic Clay

Menzerna IP to remove deeper swirls

Menzerna FPII to clean it up good

Some type of AIO

Some type of Glaze

Some type of Sealant

And just ordered Natty's Blue to top the black spots.

And here is what i'm looking at to fill these spots(i also know WHETHER i need to fill those blanks...). A person here on the board is recommending these to me:

FK1 215 as an AIO

FK1 2180 (don't know what this is for)

4* UPP as a sealant to put down before the Natty's Blue

Blackfire 2(don't know what this is and not lookin to buy it..)

Basically i think i just need the FK1 215 and the 4* UPP to complete my process.

Any recommendations or criticisms would be great as to whether i need a different brand product or whether i could go without any one of these, or whether i'd be fine with what i've got.

Based on some further research i did after this pm, i think i realized that my FPII with my orbital should get rid of the spider webbing and act as a polish, so i really should just need a sealant. I've heard a lot of good things about people using the 4 star UPP as a sealant under the natty's. What are yalls thoughts on this?

I think it's best to keep it simple..especially at first and when you're on a budget

You can absolutely get stunning results with the Menzerna polishes and the Natty's you ordered.

You don't NEED a sealant AND a wax. You've even said that you don't mind applying every 2-3 months, and a wax only will give you that protection. I'd use both only if you wanted more durability for winter months

Lets keep it simple:

Since you are claying and probably gonna use IP and or FPII, there;s really no need for 215, or any aio for tha matter. Once tha paint is well cleaned and polished, you are ready to apply your protection.

As for 2180, this is FK1's top of the line sealant. It is a pure sealant, meaning there are no cleaners or polishes, etc. It lasts for a good while and is pretty friendly with LSPs; the only one I have not tried it with is CMW for some unknown reason. However, it is not the most "dazzling" looking sealant on the market; once again this falls in under endurance, not looks. If you want looks, you can go with UPP.

I agree, no need for 215 in this situation. Also, I'd select either UPP or Natty's as a topper, but not both. You already have a good sealant with 2180.
