Has anyone tried System one polish?

The original polish used for this system was 3M SMR for dark cars, the one that was out before the PFIII line. Then they came up with their own version later.

Your right mate I am. I am waiting on mark in Sydney to register the business and fill out the forms for importation into Australia and then I'll go to town with it and see how I go

I just tried some free samples of the System One polish and wax. The polish is odd. It adds a lot of gloss, but doesn't really remove many swirls. It's kinda like it has lots of fillers or something. It made the color of the paint look darker and deeper than any of the normal polishes I use.

I think this would be a great polish on newer paint thats in good condition, as it really makes the color of the paint "pop".

To really repair paint I think this product needs to be used with a rotary. It doesn't do much with a PC 7424.

The wax is easy to apply, and it's slick. But I don't expect much durability out of it. I guess I'll have to wait and find out.

I took out 2000 grit color sanding scratches on my tailgate with it (recleared my tailgate), so it should have no problem with something as shallow as swirls. If it's leaving swirls, you might have a dirty pad or a pad that's too aggressive. It left no swirls on my tailgate.

If you want to see if it has fillers or not, wipe down your panel with a solvent. If you are dealing with an acrylic-urethane paint (most finishes are), it cannot be fed, so the only fillers would be high-viscosity oils that lay on top and fill in scratches. These can be removed with solvents to show what kind of job the polish did.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this stuff? \r\n\r\nThanks\r\nRyan
\r\nYes I have used and am currently using the System One Polish and Spray Wax, I use the genuine artical not the PPG \"wanna be\" version. I have been detailing cars since 1995 and used many popular products, Meguiar\'s, Mothers and alike, I can honestly say that nothing has impressed me like the System One products. I used it first on my own vehicles before putting polish to paint on a clients vehicle. Every client has been more than impressed by the results. New paint, old paint it makes no difference perfect results time after time. I just did a car today to fix the paint work that a \"Meguiar\'s Professional\" screwed up and had the hide the charge $500 for, I left a swirl free finish without fillers or glaze. If you have a product that you use to polish your vehicle that has to be finished off with a sealer or glaze then you have to ask yourself how many washes will it take before the dreaded swirl and spider webbing marks re-appear.'

I too have been using System One for several years. The System One Polish was originally designed for use by auto refinish industry and was designed by owner of a auto restoration business at specialized high end rare vehicles that was looking for a easier way to color sand and polish vehicles. I honestly say that the System One Polish has improved since the product first hit the market. I've used the polish on new fresh paint, old and well aged paint with results that never disappoint. System One X3 will remove 1000 grit sanding scratches but performs better with surfaces sanded to 1500 or finer. I currently have a vehicle with a dark midnight green candy 3 stage paint job it. I've tried just about every system designed for color sanding and buffing newly sprayed finishes, System One has by far given me the best finish I've found to date. System One has just released a complete car care package which includes a 8 oz. bottle of System One X3 polish, a 22 oz. bottle of spray wax, a empty bottle to use a small amount the spray wax and add de-ionized or distilled water to make a detail spray, and a 22 oz. bottle of their new Licorice Black tire dressing which is a awesome product it leaves a nice satin sheen that does not sling or attract dust due to it's anti-static formula and tire dressing applicator and some micro fiber towels. I've been using the spray wax since it was first produced and seems to offer long term protection, water beads great a year later, one of my vehicle does not get driven much and is parked out sometimes with cover on it and sometimes without. it has almost been a year since it has been waxed and water still beads when it is washed. I noticed earlier in this thread someone made mention of Norton Liquid Ice, Liquid Ice was produced and package for Norton by System One and was a slightly different formula. Every friend and customer that I've used System One the polish and detail their vehicle are now System One users.

Just My .02 cents

hmm not implying anything with this post but just a little odd that a couple of first time posters are raving about this product............

I was thinking the same thing:grinno:

I am watching this post and it seems fishy to me that most that brag about it only have a few posts. But, then again if you google "system one" this post comes up and now you can promote your company.

What does the r/n/r/n mean?

I think it has something to do with banned ip address

Yes, I'm first time poster, but I've honestly have been using the products for years. I didn't even know about this site until I saw a link on the Team Chevelle site about something else. So i started cruisin around, saw the question about System One, since it is not a well known product just wanted to share, as I said at the end of my post just My .02 cents. Just to set the record straight in regards to myself, I would not promote someones product if I did not believe in it. I have absolutely nothing to gain from posting anything on this site. I'm not a vendor for System One or any other product , just a user of System One and part time car builder/painter that prides himself in producing high quality cars and paint jobs. I'm not a big poster on any web site, limited post on the Chevelle, HHR and several other sites, mostly just spectator cruising around reading post. I can't figure out where some of you find the time to post all the time. I'm too busy with my regular job, and building cars and taking mine to shows.

\r represents an ASCII carriage return, and \n is the newline character. I'm not sure why a few posts have been showing up this way . . . it may be that those users are editing their posts in a different editor, then copy/pasting to the vB editor, and the newline information is being garbled.

I'm off to compare some IPs . . .

Now, now; play nice. Not every low post-count member that mentions a new product is shilling. So far, there's no real evidence, so let's all stay civil.

bigfoot;

This why I don't post much on any site. no matter how honest someone is and they only want to do share there is always somebody stirring the pot and ready throw them under the bus. I'm not here to have a pissing match with anybody, just wanted to share.

Like I said I have absolutely nothing to gain financially or any other way from anybody at System One or any other vendor.

I've painted vehicles professionally for about 15 years before crossing to the other side, insurance. And contiue to do two to three completes a year and I've tried a lot rubbing compounds and polish over the years and I've had excellent results with System One products.

Have a nice day.

Look man, if you were more up to date on this matters, you would notice that there's a lot of people with the same excuse trying to promote 1 product, saying the same things you said, and it comes out later that they were actually involved with the company. I just warn about it, I'm not a Mod, but know how this things works. If it's proven that you are not a spammer, I will publicly apologize to you. Do we have a deal?

Look Man,

If you look at me previous post, I just joined the site 2 days ago, I didn't even know about this site, only found link on the Team Chevelle site. Since I am a car guy and admire a nice finish on any car I started looking around and saw the question. As far as being update on what matter? People B-Sing about their product over any other product, I too can't stand people that do that. I don't have time to read all the post on any site, since I have a life. I know people that say bad things about other products, never once did say anything about any other product that is not my style. My only connection to System One is I'm a user of their product, and have met and talked with the owner of the company.

I'm not spammer, and if someone can't share their personal experience after using a product for awhile without someone getting their panties in a wad I guess I'll delete this site from my favorites and ask the mod to delete my profile. At least on the Chevelle site we welcome new users. Everyone has their own opinon. I guess this isn't a very friendly place.

And if would like to publicly apologize to me, I'll accept it, but I think I'll still limit my presence on this site.

Just one more question have YOU even tried the product?
