GTI: Cloth Seats + Piss

A couple weeks ago a friends GTI had someone pee in a cup, and spill some on her console / seats. Not exciting. I offered to help but wanted to make sure I do it right. What process and products would you recommend I try?

Hmm, strange question, so did it get sucked up in a cloth seat or just spilled over some plastic parts? APC, extractor and a MF in a bucket of warm water might help.
 
It would suck if it got absorbed into the seat cushion foam. Good luck with that unless you remove the seat cover.

But seriously - if it's a couple weeks old, (who waits that long to clean urine? :confused: ), you're objective is the staining and maybe some disinfectant and deodorizing. Resolve Dual Action carpet cleaner on the seats and carpet should work fine. Any simple cleaner on the dash and plastic parts should clean the rest. Once all the stains are out, sprinkle Baking Soda and lightly brush it into the (dried out) carpet and seats. The longer you leave it on, the better at removing any odors. But I doubt odor is a problem after several weeks of it being in the car :nixweiss.

They make an enzyme cleaner that supposedly will completely break down urine into odorless, colorless components. I forgot the name but you can get it at your local pet store. My dog once peed on my suede couch, and the stuff worked miracles.

That stuff is called Nature's Miracle and is available at most pet stores and online.



To the OP, don't you think you might've used a different word than "piss" for the title of the thread? I don't get bent over vulgarity, but I gotta admit I don't like seeing that every time the thread comes up after I run "New Posts".
