GTI: Cloth Seats + Piss

Has anyone used Nature's Miracle? Sad to say, I have experienced a similar situation and the seat cushion was half soaked. While I do not smell anything in the car, the fact that the seat was originally soaked with urine does not sit well with me.

I tried to scrub it with an old tshirt and some soap to at least get whatever was at the surface.

This happened yesterday so hopefully I can soak the seat with Nature's Miracle and essentially rid the rancid odor from forming.

Would love any experiences people have had with this product. For instance, their site says to avoid leaving the car in the sun if possible. I have to park the car outside both during the day and night.

Would this be a problem?

Sun light destroys the enzymes and kills the bacteria in the product.

You have to remove as much of the stain as possible (shop vac, towel). Products like Natures Miracle don't work well on heavy problems. As soon as the product drys, it stops working. So you might have to reapply, a few times.

Human p usually isn't as bad as animal.

Post again if the problem persists.

Definitely go with an enyzme cleaner - if the smell persists, you may need to use a syringe to inject it into the foam.

Exactly.

Clean all plastic/vinyl with Simple Green or APC, then disinfect with Lysol.

On the cloth seat, inject enzyme into the foam, spray enzyme on the seat surface, spray yellow stain remover, then spray odor eliminator, then cover with a wet towel for at least 6 hours.

You can buy a proper enzyme kit with syringe, yellow stain eliminator, and odor eliminator from justrite.com

Works wonders.
