Holy....holy WOW! That finish is absolutely incredible. So that's what a GT is supposed to look like. It'd be cool to see Saleen's expression after seeing these pics.



Also - I'm guessing you had Kobe beef? Not to nitpick, especially if you had some Colby cheese to go with it. :lol

I have put every piece of effort into every job I do and I am very determined to make them perfect, especially when there is money there to motovate me.:woot2: I am very lucky to have such great generous customers this year.

Thanks Josh! 50 hours felt like eternity on this car. I knew I had my work cut out for me on this one. The before pictures only show 20% of the defects and dullness on this car. I literally re-surfaced the whole paint job. My quick jobs lately are 25 hours. I'll have to check the LeMans out.

Great job, I have always liked the looks of that car. Does the owner road race his car?

Thanks Brandon! I do not think he races it, but the Hoosires kind of make it looks like he does. I know he has had this car in the very high tripple digits. He actually was famous for racing Porsches. It is one of my favorite exotic/muscle cars.

It was one of the longest jobs I have had in a very long time. I work 10-20 hours days on jobs like this so I become adapted with the paint. We have so much work lately, that I need to work minimum 12 hour days. It feels like I have no life.

It seems like all my customers lately all want top 20 plus hour corrections done. This year I have only done one quick easy normal detail.



It is a ton of work, but I love what I do and enjoy the finished product. On jobs like this I always ask myself why I do this, but in the end I always enjoy looking at the work I have. Pictures do no justice at all. I am very obsessed with paint correction and perfection.



The beef was great. It is very easy to chew and has a very tasty flavor of richness.

It stinks working 20 hour days, but I do not have much of a choice. Last month I worked 29 hours straight on a nightmare job that had to be done. I started when the birds were chrping and finihed when the birds were chirping....straight.:doh

I do need to calm down a bit.



I would hire someone to help me, but I am a very particular on how things are done. Rick is the only one I trust, but he is so busy with his projects too.

Thanks for the great comments! The paint is so extremly slick on this, nothing will stick. The owner loves how it stays clean and the dust just blows right off.

I wish I was down south so I could work on exotics all year round.



If I ever decide to stop doing this I am going to open up a school of "The Art of Polishing". It would be great to teach people all the different things you can do with paint..

The only think we can improve now is taking better care of ourselves and not draining ourselves out anymore. Maybe a lift, some stools, knee pads, etc..... :think2:think2

Thanks Scott! I was waiting for the sun to keep popping out through the clouds. The sun was this tiny little dot in person. I just wish the camera would take the actual look of how deep the gloss really was. The paint on this was actually on the softer side and gummy at first. It was very absorbant, so extreme caution was taken and that is why it took so long to make perfect. In all honesty, I think the paint on these look the best when done right. After the whole burnishing proces was done, I noticed that the paints structure was super hard. The paint was hard to marr when it was finished, so the actual quality of the paint was very nice.

Thanks buddy! He did have to drive it in the unexpected rain (down poor) on the way to my shop. He said it actually handled great in the rain. He drives the car a lot.

Ryan, after talking with you I just had to take another look at this post.



That clear on that GT looks to be without any ripple or orange peel, is that due to your sanding of is the finish naturally that nice from the factory?

The paint on these are close to smooth. They do sand them out at the paint factory and polish them, but there job is just quik on the polishing. The couple that I have done all have sanding scratches still visible and they are still somewhat dull.



I did have to sand out some sanding pigtail marks they left behind from their orbital sanders. The paint was good to deal with though. If I could have gotten some daylight befores you would definately notice a huge difference between before and after.
