It's a cold rainy day here in Iowa, so took the time for an old fart to figure out this computer thingy.

I finally got some photo's of some of my past and present cars, bikes, shop, etc in the gallery.

YEAH, the old fart is still alive and his brain still works sometimes.

Nice job grumpy! Another rainy day (or two) and perhaps we can see some picture posts here. :rofl

If I knew what that was, I might, however, I am just lucky to have got this far!

Give me some time, like a lot of time and this old fart may figure it out. LOL!

The stories those cars could tell..........

Miss July, 1968 Playmate Center fold.

John Bearce Ford was one of my sponsors on both the Mustang and the Cobra.

He was a real promoter, brought her in for a sales event and had both of my cars there as well.

Took her a ride in my street 427 Cobra as she requested.(had the SC and a blue street 427)

That 10 minute ride almost cost me a divorce.

LOL! I can only imagine! :)

Zim, thanks for doing what I am not capable of doing.

Some other rainy day I will get bored and finally figure out what all you "youngins" know how to do.

Thanks again.

It is pretty easy.

Find the picture that you want to post and 'right click' on it. Scroll down to where is says 'Properties' and click on that. It will open another window with information about the picture. Copy the address (URL) and then do one of two things.

1. Paste the address of the picture you want to post inbetween the image tags like this:

yourpicture.jpg[COLOR="
<-- that isn't a real address so it won't show for this demonstration.

2. One of the icons in the reply box shows what looks like a picture. Hover the mouse over it and it will show "insert image". Click on that and then paste the address of the picture you wish to post.

Using the tags:

Using the tags to link to the picture: [URL....autopia.org/gallery/files/4/2/48_pymouth.jpg

To see what it looks like for yourself, try quoting someone (like this post) and you will be able to see what it looks like in the dialog box

I hope this helps!

Damn! is that you Ron? WOW!:yo:

Great stuff Ron, keep it coming!!! I really like the stories behind the pictures as well!

Thanks, Dan.

Added a few more this morning. Still haven't taken the time to learn how to post directly to the forum areas.

So, just have to ask those who are following my path of cars, etc through life to go to the Gallery.

Not that little actually.

It is a 1971 Buffalo Trailmaster, built by Central Tool and Die out of Omaha.

They decided they could take advantage of a market being developed by Honda for all terain bikes that hunters and farmers would use.

Motor is a Tecumsh 5 hp with a variable speed clutch. Not fast at all, but will go through almost anything, damned near climb a tree.

It sat for over 25 years after my buddy, Roger rescued it from a junk pile of another friend.

Rear fender was almost completely cracked in two, tires were not bad, cables were junk, etc.

Roger went through the motor and I media blasted all the parts, welded the cracks, removed all the dents, did a small repair on the seat and then used the ETR kit to restore the black color.

Did an acid etch primer and surface primer then the orange is a Toyota color, the black is a farm and implement 1K paint.

New cables, etc and it's better than new.

Have only been able to locate two of these in the country, it was their top of the line model.

Turned down several chances to sell it, seems some old farmers around here had them at one time and want to relive their youth.

It's fun to buzz around the neighborhood on.

What's the story on this little guy, looks like a blast!

That's funny!

I have been one to take old cars, etc and restore them since in high school.

The Sears/Allstate bike was a real challenge, since it is next to impossible to get parts.

Roger turned a ring for the engine since none were available, when we rebuilt it.

It was also rescued from a junk pile, and sat for 30 years before we did the restoration.

Value of it is somewhere in the area of $4,000 to $5,000 according to offers we have had.

I have only found one of them and it was just a pile of rust, even the gas tank on that one was rusted through.

The color on the Sears is actually an older Buick color which matched the original color. We did not unlace the spokes, as the paint cleaned up good, just did some touch up. The tires on it are original and no cracks.

Thanks, glad you enjoy my toys.

I’m not good at computer stuff either so I asked my granddaughter to show me how to post pictures to a forum.

1. Log on to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

2. Select Upload

3. Go to your MS My Pictures file

4. Open the photo you want to upload

5. Photo bucket will show a box Share|Edit|Delete|Move

6. Select IMG code

7. Paste the code to a forum post

After a few tries I got it to work...good luck
