Griot's Garage 6" DA NEW for under $100 on Amazon

Doesn't say if it's brand new??? Hmm...

You're right, I'm guilty of assumption as it's been my experience that refurbs or used items on Amazon are clearly marked.

Went to the vendors Web site and it doesn't say anything about repops. Same price on the GG, a buck cheaper shipping and free shipping over $99.

They've got a Makita 9227C for $226.99... about the going rate. However they have some kits that include a carrying bag and some other goodies as cheap as $191.99. Well off the pace compared to the going rates elsewhere. Other stuff of interest to detailers from Infratech, 3M, Carrand, Sprayway, Buff & Shine, Meguiar's... including what appears to be old stock of the original Scratch X v1. All at prices cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. A gallon of M205 is $69.58! M105 is $76.99/gal! :buffing:

I do believe I'm gonna have to be the guinea pig and check this place out!

When you add the GG to your Amazon shopping cart it lists the condition as "New"....

I'm going to order the polisher from the ToolTopia Web site. Add a couple of Meg's foam applicator pads for $2.09 and the order qualifies for free shipping. So for 5 bucks less I get a couple of pads. Sheesh, I need another polisher like I need a hole in the head. Just can't pass up a deal. I'm glad Learjets aren't on sale! :nervous:

I have been looking at it too, I think I'm going through amazon though, much better support if it bites the dust.

Another deal just popped into my mail box... Detailed Image is offering 20% off all Meguiar's products through 9/30. No minimum order, no codes, prices as marked. :bounce

Wow, I ordered Tuesday at 10pm and when I got home it was sitting on the porch. It is indeed a brand new retail boxed Griots unit. Looking forward to a little more grunt than my non XP PC.

All I can say is this is the kind of stuff you may not need, but you just have to buy it for the price... :)

You may even use it a few times and sell it on ebay for the price you bought

What is the difference, if any, of the Megs. v2 and Griots? Thanks!

Megs has more OPM on paper, Griots more power amp wise. Believe a few people have said the Griots is noticeably stronger, but you're mileage may vary. Griots def has a better warranty coverage.

Is this some kind of sale or is it always at this price? I cant tell.. But if its a sale I want to jump on it! if its always around ill wait a few more paychecks!

Its their normal price. I have the G100v2 and Rick has a Griots at the shop. The Griots is way more powerful than the G110v2.

The version with the longer cord is on the tool topia site for $107.99 shipped. Since its over $99, it has free shipping.

You can always use one of AutoGeeks liberal coupons off their $129.99 price if Tooltopia jacks up their price.

too late I just purchased it! Couldnt risk it not always being that price?

Yakky I know what polishes im going to pickup I am going with Megs M105 and M205

But can you help me out with pads? And I assume it comes with a backing plate?

Do I get 6" Pads some people say they dont work as good as 5" Pads?

Also I know I need orange but do I need yellow? and dont red and black pads do the same thing?
