Green Volvo, perhaps they buffed it with an angle grinder?56K*LOL!!*

Freakin Awesome work! Your details never fail to amaze me! When you stated the owner said "it sure is shiny.".....its kinda of sad that he probably doesnt truly appreciate the work you have put into it. Most people that I have detailed cars like that I get the same comment, but at least you can post your story and cpics here and know that Autopians truly admire your work! Great job!

WOO-HOOH!! You did it again, very impressive.

You're a braver man than I am when it comes to the major correction, I'd be too worried about taking off too much clear to do anything *near* what you accomplished on the trunk :bow

Nice color too, once you got it to where it could be appreicated.

Heh heh, the "before" on the engine didn't look all that awful and I thought "hmm, at least that area was just neglected, didn't get abused like the rest of the car" ;)

Terrific job on the detail, you do some really stellar work all round :2thumbs:

How has durability been for you with #21? I have it on my car now, and its doing fine, but I really baby my car (semi-garage it for bad weather), and only drive it 2-3 days a week. I know you we're an original tester of it but I'd be curious to hear how durability has been for you.

LOL, it's funny you should mention that about the trunk. I had the 3000 unigrit soaking in #00 and I decided to just do a pass with the OC and see what happens before sanding it. All I did was one pass and it was virtually gone, I think the lighting in the befores *really* accentuates the severity of the scratches.

The guy said he washes down the engine with each wash, I wish he would have done a once over on the interior too. :)

Thanks for the compliments!!

It has been nothing short of stellar for me. I have had on the wife's car since Thanksgiving and it is just starting to show signs of wear. I would recommend it to anyone, I just picked up 64 oz the other day. I plan to use it on just about every car that I detail, though I did use Z2 PRO on a vette yesterday. :)

Car looks amazing! I have a fw questions for you:

What was used on the carpets to get them that clean? As well as the rest of the interior (dash and such)

Thanks,

-Nick

 @ the befores!

Amazing turn around! You and Steve seem to get the most trashed cars of anyone here and both of you do such a superb job bring them back to life.

Incredible how wet the paint looks in the after shots under the lights! :up

Man !! I never get tired of looking at your detailed cars. Pheonomenal how you bring these insanely dirty back to life.

keep up the good job.

Floor matts:

I sprayed with APC 10:1

pressure washed

"extracted" with LGCM

allowed to dry

On the interior vinyl, I just sprayed APC, scrubbed with brushes, stemed cracks and crevices, wiped with MF.

Scott, I can't seem to catch a break on interiors, but at least the vette was more enjoyable to detail. :) Thanks man!!

Absolutely amazing! Sure wish I could get nerve to go for that kind of paint correction on my rides! Thanks for sharing those pictures. :bow

That is an excellent transformation and one of the best restorations I have seen on this site. The quote above should be repeated. While the owner may not appreciate what you did, you can bet that this forum does. Truly inspiring. :bounce

I did a 01 black Land Cruiser for a friend last fall. It was like a test bed for swirl marks. Filthy. I spent a week of nights on it - he let me take it home. The drag came when I couldn't take "after" photos due to low battery power :hairpull; so I didn't post any of it here. When he picked it up, he said "looks nice" I said thanks....waiting for more complements, the shallow person that I am, but that was it. Later he told me that it really was an excellent job, but he needed to sell it and if he acknowleged how good I made the car look, he wouldn't be able to part with it. Made sense to me.
