Since I started reading these boards and doing a little research, I've put in two orders with Autopia Car Care and spent some coin.
Ultima Paint prep+
Ultima Paint guard+
Poor Boys Natty's paste wax
Sonax Wheel Cleaner FE
Opti-Bond Tire Gel
Pinnacle Crystal Clear glass cleaner (with repellant)
and a Wheel Woolie
Luckily I already had some stuff in my arsenal like mothers clay bar, Megs gold class shampoo, stoners Invisable glass(used on inside of windows), lots of microfiber cloths/
towels, wash mits, etc.
Detailed my car last saturday, using all the products mentioned above. Took my time, lots of beer and cigarette breaks! And WOW! Its looking great!
I have to say, I was most impressed with the Sonax Wheel cleaner. That stuff is awesome. Best wheel cleaner I've ever used. Sprayed it on liberally, waited 5min or so once it turned a dark red color, then blasted it off with my little mini fire hose nozel. And thats it, they were clean. Any dirt that looked like it stuck to the wheel, I could literally rub off with my finger. Amazing!
I can't really comment on anything else yet, as it has been nice and sunny here since, plus I havent really driven much since. No rain yet.
I'm not quite sure if the opti-bond tire gel is my kind of gel. It returned the tires back to black nicely, and dries nice (not greasy). Guess I'm looking for a hair little more shine, nothing crazy though.
