Tried some cheap pads from another site.
My friend asked me to detail his black (not metallic) Audi. I looked at it as a chance to try out some flat pads I bought from another site. At the time CMA was waiting to introduce LC flat pads so I saw these and ordered a few to try. Huge mistake!! These pads did not even hold up to my PC, cheap foam with no cut. Worst pad ever. About 1/3 through the car I figured I was doing something wrong because the paint was just laughing at SIP. So I switched to an orange CCS pad from CMA and "Shazam!", much better. At that time though I had spent too much time on the cheap pads so I had to settle for about 90% on the finish.
Things I learned:
1. Don't go cheap on the pads.
ut:
2. SIP still Rocks. The issue was the pad.:cursing:
3. I'm glad my daily driver is a white.
