Well, I just got a new job and I am no longer detailing cars for Porsche. Things are doing good and I happen to come across this on Craigslist and had to have it. I always liked LS1 powered cars so I thought this would be fun.
Car had select scratches here and there but the clear on this car is hard and requires some compounding to get it where I wanted it. 90% correction. I wasn't motivated enough to pull the spoiler off to get the tailgate perfect. But maybe next summer I will get that portion done.
I did not get any before pictures, sorry. I know I know. I love seeing a hammered car come back to life. This one honestly wasn't too bad but required the rotary none the less.
Overall this was a 3 step job, total time was about 6-8 hours.
Started soaking the car with Dawn to pull everything off.
Did a clay bar treatment with Megs yellow clay.
Step 1
Rotary with random Silken Wool pad I had with M105
Step 2
Orbital and I tried out my new Megs compounding foam pad. This pad was a little stiff for my liking, but produced good results and no marring when finished
Step 3
Orbital with Megs yellow foam pad and M205
Washed the car one more time to get all the M205 oils off.
Finished with Klasse High Gloss Sealant.
Enjoy
