Well I used all kinds of glass cleaners and none work (Sprays and such). But the other day I tired buffing the windows with 3M Rubbing Compound and it made them SPOTLESS. Anyone else ever tired this?

IG and Rain-x. If you use alot of shop paper towels it will get the haze off.
The IG is a great window cleaner...but the shop paper towels could be your source of the problem..IMO...also your process of cleaning and buffing..You best window cleaning is in using a MF towel that is designed for glass...coupled with the IG.
I'm not saying that the compound is not cleaning the window, but its an extreme measure for just window cleaning..unless you where trying to remove water spots or the likes of that
Yes just to remove some oxidation and extremely hard to get off and old water spots.
I cleaned my windows today.
Process. Used Spray and Wipe on the windows and removed with a very plush microfiber.Next I added Rainx and flushed the windows with water. I used another microfiber to get rid of the haze and this left my windows clean. I didn't /don't see a haze.
Maybe that Rain-X is part of the reason spray cleaners don't work. I can't stand that mess - personal opinion of course.
Amaz does a great job, of cleaning and even getting rid of water stains.
this is a review a did a while ago ... http://www.detailcity.org/forums/wi...-amaz-water-stain-remover.html?highlight=amaz

If I have a windshield that needs something more than glass cleaner to get it clean I use Bon-Ami.
Old product but still gets the job done. :bigups
I agree tried that Rain-X once about 20 years ago and swore i would never use that junk again.
I like to soak the glass and MF with window cleaner, wipe all over, turn the cloth over, wipe some more...
Spay the glass again, and go over it with the old news paper...
Shop towels BAD!
Also, your rubbing compound will fill the tiny pits in the glass leaving white dots all over.
plus two on this one...I have paste water spot remover for glass...stuff rocks!!
