There is a fog that I use and have never had a complaint when removing smoke smell. I get from www.superiorrestoration.com.
Here is the process I use:
Blow out the vents and under the dash,
Vaccum thoroughly
Carpet Extract everything even under the seats,
mix up a quart of water with a cap full of carpet cleaner to clean the headliner with a sponge,
then clean all the vinyl/leather.
At that point put the fogger in the car (under newspaper) with the windows closed and set it off. Let it set for about 4 hours and you have no more smoke smell. You can also run the AC with the fogger (about 15 minutes) on to cirulate though the system. This is the last thing I do and tell the customer he can remove the fogger when done.
