Do you have any board hair attachments ? Or brush attachments suitable for the car ?

I have tons of the brass, silver and nylon *stiff* brushes attachments I would never use on a car - or even my Wolf Stove.

The closest I use is the single, 3 hole steamer and or the triangle unit that holds a towel but I find that too bulky for me....

BTW, I have the Vapormaster 3K unit. Great buy at the price I had it. I have not used it on the car at all though as I was getting used to it on the home......but when it gets warmer, it will get a workout.

Steam is great. Perfect example...I have wood flooring in the house. Brand new flooring - it was renovated about 2 years ago. Upkept daily with wet cloths or dedicated wood cleaner. Once we got the steamer, we tried just hot steam and a mf . They area by the stove and grill had never as smooth as prior daily cleaning with the steamer !

I can't wait for mine. I should have it by next Friday I hope. I researched the steamers pretty good and most I spoke with LOVES this model.

I choose Rennys company because,

1- I personally know Renny (great guy) 2- his steamer has a much improved hose. It is longer and beefed up over the orig hose, 3- training, it includes a DVD (just about ready now) and I paid for a training session that I will take sometime this summer, 4- Loaner, if it breaks on you (very very rare chance) Renny will send you a loaner to use while yours is getting repaired.

We bought our first VX5000 about 18 months ago. Every week we would realize an additional application for the tool.

Most recent? Melts road tar from paint in just a few passes. Who knew?

We acquired a second unit in Feb 08, in anticipation of a busy spring season.

Total cost for the two units? $1390.00

Highly recommended.

The application is not for carpet. It produces a very fine mist of HOT STEAM which doesn't require chemicals at times to break down the gunk. Very versatile in the car & home. Bathrooms, tile joints, wood flooring, kitchen, door jambs . Every have those pesky scuff marks on doors or sills that no matter how you scrub it, that scuff won't go away.

After playing around with it , it really is a GREAT tool to have.

The steamer and extractor do different things for different applications.

See my quote above 4 posts back.

I've been very fanatic about cleaning out Santos Mahogany wood flooring. Wipe daily with a MF mop, sometimes even doing old school microfibers on knees spraying with Bona Wood Floor Cleaner. The kitchen area was always clean but NEVER felt as smooth as when I just used the steamer and followed up with a dry MF behind it. It get's that area in the extra 10% that you didn't even know was dirty !

Are they EXACTLY the same machine right down to the specs? If so why buy the more expensive?

The loaner deal is only good if they overnight the steamer.

If this is the best steamer why do you need a lifetime?

I choose to pay more but received a better value. Hose is custom made for Renny. Longer and has a beefier sleeve on it. I will also recieve the how to DVD and formal training on its proper use. That is well worth the extra $$

How much is the extra money, I'm assuming not a great deal?

Wish I had a loaner when mine is in for service, even if that isn't often.

IMO the very nature of steamers means that they're gonna eventually need servicing.

That sounds like a good upgrade. The hoses can be a weak link, especially if somebody pulls on it to move the steamer around :o

I don't have any boars hair brushes. I mostly use the three holed wand with either the circular or small triangle nylon bristle brushes. The nylon doesn't harm anything...you don't need to use pressure to clean, the steam takes care of that.

I have bought VX5000 long time ago, it does all job it's supposed to. Pretty cool device. But it does magic only on medium to light soiled cars, as well as excellent spot remover. Basically I used on upscale cars or if owners dont want their carpets wet. The whole car could be done in like 30 - 40 minutes. Good money maker too.

I find that the VX5000 is a very "CHEAP" machine. The wand is a flimsy plastic wand, the machine doesn't seem to clean very well. I wish I would have spent more money on a nicer unit.
