Found some deals on steamers! commercial too!

Well I used the steamer for the first time last night in the house. One word AMAZING! I pretty much did some spot cleaning trying out the different attachments. Cleaned some tile, grout, hardwood floors, stovetop, and some leather chairs. I kept working until I used up all the water...I would say in total about 1 hr of total cleaning. This thing will make you OCD if you are not already!! LOL. I agree on the boars hair brush, that would be a plus.

This is the Attention To Details Steamer correct?

I am still gonna get the other one. I can get 2 for the price of one and still have enough dough to buy a new buffer. Tired of the old steel 12lb. buffer anyway. Had it too long anyway.

If I don't like the other hose then I will order a hose from attention to detail.

How much is that hose anyway?

Continuous fill vs. non-continuous fill:

Plus- (continuous) Steam lasts longer.

Negative: The steam temperature is not regulated thus you get a much higher moisture to steam ratio. Our unit (vapormaster) is 94% steam and 6% fluid at worst...in most cases with a well maintained unit its more like 96% steam, 4% water!

Continuous fill - The ratio is terrible. We found that it "averaged 80% steam, 20% solid water. No biggy working on GROUT but on a cars interior and around the components where a true steamer really assists you at cutting down on time while improving quality...that is not good!

Also, we had our continuous fill for less then a month and had to replace the exterior tank as we broke it. Within one year, we broke the tank or the connection three times. Within a detail business, the continuous fill is just not practical.

I can finish a full detail on a Suburban from *&^% or mini van with one tank full. I can finish 2-3 fulls on sedans in moderate shape with one tank full. I always refill the unit after completing one full as i have down time for it to warm as I am washing and vacuuming!

Hope that helps a little, Rob

Let us know how it turns out! Looks like you won't lose either way. Having a high grade commercial/industrial unit is totally worth it. Most of the time it's the volume and personal preference.

I talked to the other company and he has quite some back up on his products. He is only an hour away from me too so might take a ride there and see it for myself. It is a commercial unit....great reviews....Just no one here has tried it...Looks like I will be the guniee pig:bestwish :getdown

Let us know how it goes! I would make the trip if the company was only an hour away. You could test it out hands on, and see if it really is worth the money. So far we are very happy with ours!

Ok it has been over a year. What is the latest?? :nixweiss

Did anybody by a steamer, if so which one?

Hahaha, I forgot all about this one. I did not end buying one, cause I normally do not see much interior work anyway. I will however buy one this year cause I just gotta have it just incase.

I noticed the prices have gone up though.

I am still undecided on which one to buy:nixweiss . It's tough being a picky pro:chuckle:

Hopefully someone will chime in and give us some real hands on usage with pros and cons.

They do look the same...looks like a nice machine..plenty of tools also...

Dam you can drive there to get it and save shipping...plus meet the people and get a demo....

Al

It looks like they moved also to MO. They are no longer in ME which was only 45 min. from me. Damn.:hairpull

I also bought a steamer from Renny, I guess just about the time this thread started last year.

The machine is great. No maintenance problems to speak of thus far. Does an EXCELLENT job cleaning, really brings interior detailing to a new level. Lots of good ways to market the machine and recoup costs as well...

Have you tried using it to clean the exterior of the vehicle? Brings a new meaning to eco friendly. Interiors must be an insane breeze.
