Fellow Autopians,

Autopia V3.0 Phase I is nearing completion. THANK YOU for your patience while we grunted through the worst part. Phase I was an ugly task. It’s much easier from here.

*** WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT PROBLEMS YOU’RE HAVING ***

Please be as specific as possible

We will get to the most critical issues first

*** WE NEED YOUR CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK ***

The templates need tweaking… we know this. Tell us what you do and do not like. Some changes will be easy; others will not be easy. No promises, but we will try our best.

THANKS!

Clock is wrong.

I can't see all the smilies in both making posts and reading those of others.

I liked having a home page with the latest 20 threads or so.

I can't view images at the bottom of the home page. I'm shown as logged in, and I can post fine, but if I click on an image it says "you must be a registered member to view images".

The search isn't working for me now either, although it worked for me about 30 minutes ago. :nixweiss

Many thanks for all your hard work. The only problem I'm having is not being able to log in to the gallery - I'm logged into Autopia, but I come up as "unregistered" when I try to upload/view photos. Overall :up

The smilies seem to be getting fixed.

I would offer up a polite minor suggestion or two:

1. Add a quick reply box back if possible.

2. Delete the solid blue bar under every reply. Having the top bar is enough to denote different replies and having two creates a busy look in my humble opinion.

Thanks!

I agree with:

1. The Qucik Reply tab. Can we have one?

2. Visible New Post tab

Awesome job though!

I'm not recognized as logged in, and can't get into the gallery either.

I like to see the most recent threads in the center of the page as well, like it used to be.

The huge dark blue boarders are not pleasant to the eyes.

Good luck with the upgrade!

The upgrade is looks great. As with everything new, it will take some time getting used to the changes. (for me) I hope you get the quick reply box feature back.

Edit: The Smileys are changing (maybe you are working on them as I browse) The displayed smiley's are not the same ones each time.

Why didn't you guys waited a litle more for the upcoming v3.5? Just curious as I'm running a v3.0.7 with lots of (great) hacks and I'm looking for this upgrade.

Anyway, great job, I know how hard it is doing this

OK, I see that to find the NEW POSTS one selects the LINKS tab in the upper right hand corner. No way would I have ever thought to try that, so "thanks David" for pointing it out.

That and the silver bar at the top of each post that doesn't serve much of a purpose. I see one post in this thread that uses it to store the title (actually hadn't seen it in any other posts, so I wasn't sure what it was for until I read this thread), but it seems like that could go in the blue box at the top of the post. Is actual white space between the posts needed, or can you pull them up right next to each other? Just seems like there is lots of wasted space.. vB allows for multiple skins, huh? Maybe a "minimalist" type skin would be something to think about in a week or three? :)

Would like the user name above the avatar, the white box w/ the user info to be w/o a border the same background as the rest of the cell and smaller text for that stuff too.

Suppose this is a "bug": On the homepage, when I click the "Shoutbox" link, I get a database error. I was hoping to be able to see more comments because 4 isn't really alot. Maybe the member pictures could be vertical in the right column and the latest posts could be in the center column so that there would be more room for the thread title and such.

I like thread preview! Yay! Having the thread starter's name right under the title gives me troubles on other boards, cuz I'm not used to it I guess. I end up clicking the name instead of the title, and getting a profile instead of a thread. So used to having the thread starter in a column -- I like it cuz I can quickly scan the list of threads for a specific thread starter if I want.
