FMJ vs Zaino

Again, durability, look, etc...Those things are things that people find a preference in, or in duarbilitys case, see the facts...But FMJ is slicker than Z5 (it is fact) and I will put my money where my mouth is. Right when FMJ is done, it is even slicker than CS. IT does wear off over time, but when it is done, it is much slicker.

The slickness of FMJ I will put up against any other LSP on the market. I have tried hundreds and is by far the slickest.

Hundreds??? Are there that many LSP's worth even considering. I have been detailing over 40 years and I doubt I was dissatified with that many products in total detailing supplies let alone LSP's.

We know you have proven in every thread that you are ONLY SATISFIED WITH ZAINO:heelclick

:aww:

TRUE!!

Nevertheless, I have never discredited another product even if I have tried them and they did not meet "my" expectations. In the big picture most are very good products but not worth the time for me to jump in and diminish the excitment of someone who may have found their product of choice. :bigups

I actually agree with you, and as you know, use quite a few Zaino products....But the slickness thing just bothered me.

Josh,

No problem. Some things (slickness, wetness, depth, etc) are just too subjective to really derive a definitive conclusion.

I second this. Z2 is far behind FMJ. Both have IMO no good durability at all :bolt

If you are not getting good durabilty with Zaino, your having application issues. I for one believe that FMJ and similar Wolfgang/UPP products have better slickness then Zaino too. I think it's because their products are straight oil of sometype that do not crosslink, and they do also attract dust like an oil and wash off quickly too like a straight oil. The slickness from Zaino comes days later. I find it somewhat grabby sometimes right after an application, compared to many other products. I would be interested in the link that showed Poly Charger and FMJ, if you can make FMJ get better durabilty than it would be one of the best products out there. Slick and good looking!

Please explain why slickness SHOULD be a factor when comparing products? Does it make your car feel more sexy to you? Does it add protection? Or is it a false impression?

I have been detailng and testing products since 1978. True I love Zaino, but I have tried and will continue to try as many products and LSP as I can. We know you don't like Zaino you have you favorite product. There is nothing wrong with that , but when questions are asked to compare you will get answers. When questions are put in such a way as they are solely to continually put others products down you will get responses. Not everyone on this site likes Zaino so what ! It doesn't matter to me what you use. I do like finding out about all the new products coming out. Some people here have ulterior motives to solely bash certain products, that's too bad becuase there is much knowledge and good people here.

Take away durability and yes FMJ is slick , but so is CS ,AW and AJ. FMJ is decent but not as good as the above in my testing and my preference in looks. As we all know it's all subjective anyway.

Great answer!:D

Well spoken.

This was not aimed at you....But you said "take away durability and yes FMJ is slick"...Other than appearance which is subjective, what is left? I am very glad that you have been testing and detailing since 1978. Most of this is a subjective art.

Coud you not say the same thing for beading or any other factor applied to testing products?

Well, if A product beads after application and continues to bead for X amount of months and the product continues to wash clean that would lead one to deductivly conclude that A product is still on the paint. If one were to apply an oily product on the paint which beads and then after a couple washes it's beading decreases and dirt sticks to it one could deductively conclude that that product doesn't perform at the same level as product A.

makes sense to me :)

Come on guys. No personal attacks. Me included. It makes everyone look bad.

Sorry Josh for my questioning your testing amounts. I should have known you were just being figurative. :o

We must all agree to disagree and move on to next detailing discussion.:woot2: :

No sweat on my end.

As I stated in my original post, I have only been a member here for a few months. I love this site because I can learn alot. However, each time I post I get spanked by people like joshpa who now "questions the credibility of my review". Ok, you got me josh. I just sit around all day hatching plans to decieve you. Why on earth would I write a review that was untruthful? How would I or anybody benefit from that? I am a 43 yr old professional with a masters degree who has more important things to do than to sabotage the efforts of those on this site who simply want to learn. You really want to know what's bad about your insulting insinuation? The next time I discover something I would like to share, I think I'll keep it to myself. What a great site this will be then. All I was trying to do was share my excitement about a new product. But don't worry josh, it won't happen again!
