FMJ vs Zaino

The next time I discover something I would like to share, I think I'll keep it to myself. What a great site this will be then. All I was trying to do was share my excitement about a new product. But don't worry josh, it won't happen again!

Don't do that, Patrick. Don't feel insulted; don't hold back. Think of yourself as a really good wax where everything just beads off, OK? I, for one, enjoyed your attempt at objectivity. Really, what else do we have? Do a test. Try to eliminate extraneous factors. Report results. Others should do the same test and report their results. If they're the same, then the state of the art advances. That's the scientific method. It may be that someone else reports different results. That's the time to try to figure out what the differences in the test really are. Did you forget something? That's fair. (You guys with Masters Degrees know about the scientific method, right? Sorry, couldn't resist. I've got one, too. But I consider myself still stupid.) Yet, in this field, it's like we're trying to be scientific about beauty. If you like blondes and I like redheads (I do), well, that's a GOOD thing. We won't be competing so I won't have to patiently explain to you why bald is beautiful.

Like you said. You haven't been here long; neither have I. So neither of us have the full context of some of these issues. It's my impression that Zaino has been "on top" for some time and has developed a bit of a cult following--maybe for good reason. Your experience is a perfect example of "finding" how good Zaino is. So is mine. I'm enthralled! But anyone on top for long is bound to take a bruising. Witness: Microsoft, USA, {your-favorite-sports-team-goes-here}, etc. So there develops a skepticism when people frankly just get tired of hearing "X is so great." So that's part of the reaction that you ought to expect.

I used to use Simonize and Turtle Wax. I now use Zaino. I think it is great (but expensive). Duh! (But, hey! I like some of the Meguiar's stuff, too.) I really like Autopia because I am learning a lot and am starting to change my methods bacause of it. I now am quite certain I've been doing everything wrong--for forty years, but now that I've got a new vehicle with virgin paint, I can set things to rights. I figure this is the way to get the most out of any products that strike my fancy.

This thread should have been called do you prefer the look of Zaino ( which one Z2pro,Z5pro,Z8 or CS ) or FMJ. Because as we all know looks are subjective.

We also know that nothing performs or has the durability of Zaino ( if something did why would there be polycharger ?? ) Like it or not ZFX is awesome.

What is so special about how slick the product is?

Does anyone know what makes slick?

several factors-could be cheap gloss producing oils that wash away or high quality polymers-it all depends on the ingredients
