Flex 3401 VRG Headcount

I saw a post on Detail U stating they still had some. Today is the last day for their Menzerna/Flex deal. Plus, their price is cheaper than AG and so is their shipping charge.

If it is over $75, isn't AG's shipping free?

Their price isn't cheaper than AG if you use their current 20% off coupon!!!

DOH!

:bawling:

Yup! Read the fine print: coupon code not valid for buffers and buffer kits. ;)

I shop at AG all the time. To the best of my recollection in the last couple of years they've released only one coupon code that you could use on buffers.

There was no problem with them on rotaries it was the PC's that at speed six they were destoying the plastic in the pads .I use them on my 7428 Rotary never had an issue but on my 7336 at speed six it has destroy a couple of pads that way.If I remember it had to do with the thr random orbital action.

I hope that is an isolated case. I have 20+ Edge pads and would hate to look for another solution. I am surely going to implement the Flex into my work.

I like the Porter Cable, but it takes too long for my taste.

I like the Cyclo, but its too big for some locations.

I like the UDM, but the Flex looks to be a step up from the UDM.

I'll stick with the Makita rotary for now.

Any Edge adapter prototype updates?

Aaron is still working on coming up with a solution. When I proposed the idea to him I thought it was a simple matter of changing the thread size on the D/A adapter to M8. Unfortunately, it's more complicated than that because Flex has integrated a gear into the back of the backing plate. So, Aaron's still working on how to make an adapter work.

ohh, looks like I wont be getting a Flex this year....unless I start using different pads...

Sounds like it may not be so easy to get the Edge pads on there. I hope those gears arent made of plastic!

Same here, if Aaron gets an edge adapter, I'll be all over it, but I hate to have to carry both my edge and CCS pads... I may still end up getting the flex in the spring, but I'm not sure that I need it because I have a Hitachi and a PC... it from what I have it read, I would still need to keep all 3 machines. Still have to use to PC to get in tight areas and still need to rotary for removing wet sanding scratches and badly scratched vehicles.

Lost track of the count again.

What people should do is start a numbered list.

The first person will list their username after the number 1. The next owner will copy the previous post and add their username as number 2, etc. etc.

Anybody know whats up with AG's shipment of Flexes? I ordered mine on November 22 and I spoke to them a while ago and they said a shipment should be comming in this week. I ordered way before they posted the sign that said the next shipment will come January. When I placed my order it said the Flex will be available on Nov. 25th Im hoping that is just the first shipment that is comming in late becuase I really cant wait much longer.

I ordered from CMA on Nov 23 and I have no information yet. Emailed today for an update. Hope to hear something soon.
