I bought some Blue Magic "Dash Wax" for my interior, loved the smell it left behind but am a little disappointed in how dull the dash now looks - is this stuff not good to use (there's no list of ingredients on the container)?

I've been searching and reading about vinyl protectants the past couple days but I don't see any references to this stuff. I know there are other favorites but is this a good protectant or one of the bad ones?

Thanks...

If you want the plane truth, ive never heard of the stuff. Does it say anything about UV protection? IMHO UV protection should be a major considersation when choosing a dressing for your interior, as it will keep the vnyl looking new for a long time.

I saw "Black Magic" at the auto parts store today and it's not the stuff I mentioned in my post. This is made by "Blue Magic" (they seem to have a lot of different products) and it's kind of a tan cream. I thought for sure somebody here would've used it and be able to give a thumbs up/down on it.

It does say "UV protection" but Armor-All makes claims on its bottle that seem contrary to the opinions I read so I don't want to go on that. I sure wish they listed ingredients so I could figure out if I want to use it.

Maybe I'll use Vinylex on the dash, tires and ext. trim (although it's a little too shiny for me) and "Dash Wax" on everything else for the smell...

Well how about using Aerospace 303 for your dash, instead of some mystery product nobody's heard of (ie dash wax)?

You can find Aerospace at boating/marine supply stores.

Yup, read that right! It started last night and I woke up to a decent dusting all over my truck. Sorry about the pic but it was taken at 5:30 this morning as I was leaving. The way this fall/winter is starting I think I might do 10 more coats of BFWD!

There was some light dusting in the surrounding areas last night. They dipped down to 28F. The temps in our garage stayed in the 40s. Next week, however, we're supposed to see low-60s.

GEEEES! We just finished one of the hottest weeks ever seen in October in Florida. We hit 95 with feels like temps over 100 with humidity. :scared: Raining today, but this weekend will be in the 70s during the day.. Going to be a great garage weekend!
