For interiors I will let someone else tackle it. Im so crazy with interiors you will spent a few grand to have just the tools I use.

The wear on the leather looks scary- I'd either get a seatcover or have the driver take off the dutybelt/cuffcase when driving that car. Repairing leather can get costly.

DK,

Good advice all around. I had an identical scratched leather issue from an inside the pants holster years ago. The metal clip was exposed and damaged my seat.

Your picture shows at least one deeper cut, but hard to tell. Mine was repaired by sanding and redying the seat. Don't try this at home. Find a good leather guy.

Best of luck. I love the car! Let's see the beast when you're done.

No it is not that expensive to do it yourself. That damage isn't that bad. When I helped Mannheim Ocoee with their leather repair program, that is a lot of what was seen. A Preval, some light sanding, and the right products is all that is needed. Getting a pro would probably be a lot easier and quicker. Something like this should cost over $150.

Eric,

I checked out your website after reading your post. You are exactly what I had in mind when advising on the "good leather guy." $150 to help restore this valuable car sounds very reasonable to me. To each his own, but I would not attempt my first amateur leather repair on Mom's Foose Mustang.

I PM'd you about my Ford King Ranch leather. Need an expert opinion.

Regards,

Jay

Well just an update about the Foose. I just started the football season so this project will be placed on hold for a couple months. I will still be maintaining it with regular washes. When I finish the project, I will post a new thread in the Click & Brag section.

^ haha. man... I was hoping to see some Before and After shots from another fellow noobie.

Whats that thing on your intake? heat shield or one of those things to prevent hyrdo-lock? (what are those things called again?)
