Finish Kare?

Besides 1000p, Pink Wax and 425, do you keep any other products from FK1 in go to section? I was looking at 121 Ultimate Cleaner, 221-D Citrus Wheel Cleaner, 228 Glass cleaner, and 2180. Lol darn list keeps getting longer.

Order there sample package its only $18 and you get 7 products and get to pick one other product for a total of 8 4 oz. products. As with any good product it doesn't take much to do the job, so that little sample package gets you through enough details to make a good opinion of those products.

I've used a few of there products in the past and just got my sample package in and will be detailing the car tomorrow. With all FK.

1016-Wash/wax-Pretty good.

121-APC-Very good

228-Glass Cleaner-Good and cheap.

200-odor eliminator-give it a pass.

polishes/glazes-Seem to work better on SS paint than clearcoat, in my experience.

215-Very nice.

218/2180. OK, but neither were as long lasting as I had expected. Have been told I should apply multiple coats, as it "soaks into the paint" and needs to build up. Haven't tried this.

PW/1000P-I like 1000P better. Both are nice, though.

108-Protectant-Nice non-glossy look if you wipe afterwards. Lasts a fairly long time, especially considering it's water-based.

121 APC is very nice.

303 glaze, kind of a wierd product, doesn't really dissappear or break down like others, so it isn't that easy to use. It did give a nice look on metallic black, though.

2685 Pink Wax, great product, beads very wells and holds up well for a wax.

108 Top Kote, top notch interior protectant, longest lasting that I've used. Adds a nice "glow" to the interior panels.

118SC car wash, from what I remember I loved it, it cleaned very nice, had good slickness and suds regeneration, and it left the paint looking great.

2180 sealant, I never got good results with, one layer didn't bead well or hold up at all. I, too have heards that it "soaks into the paint", which will provide longer durability.

425 QD, top notch product, pretty well regarded around here.

Actually i do have FK215, FK 2180 and 1000p. They are perfect combo to me. Fk 215 have a great cleaning ability. The FK 2180 can be serve as a base coat for 1000p after you clean your paint with Fk215. When you top the 1000p on FK 2180, you will found that it is such a amazing result. Bence know very well about FK product. You can ask him any question about FK product. Just curious the reason he is absent in this thread.

Fred, I just arrived home after a 6-day absence.

Wehehell, sal, the 215 as the others said is an extremely good AIO. I did a Heather Mist Accord (the same as Corey Bit Spank's) with it and the highly unqualified eyes of the owner popped out, and he said wow, this looks much better than the previous combo on it (Z2Pro/Z8), because the paint looks more silverish now instead of the golden hue of the Zaino.

Alone it will give 2-3.5 months of protection which is very good from an AIO.

The 216 is a bit like the 1000P in its optical characteristics. It can be a bit flat initially on some darks, but as it cures it will look significantly better.

The 217 is like VM, although I haven't got enough experience with it to say more. Tdekany used it more extensively.

I love the look of 2180 too, and yes, it needs the special layering to perform. Temperamental product. If you like a warmer hue, you'll like the 218, which cleans a *bit* more too.

Finally I think the 425, 108, 1000P, the Pink don't need introduction.

I was quite disappointed with their soap, because its lubricity was on the low side, but again the cleaning power is awesome. The 303 works very well with a machine, as it is functionally abrasive.

I called them up today, lot faster response then their emails lol. I ordered the Sampler Kit, I substituded 118sc for 228 glass cleaner and 303 for 217, also ordered a tin of 1000p. I spent almost 30 minutes just talkin with the guy on the phone, great customer service. I asked about 221 wheel cleaner and was told to uses 121 as it works great and most likely 221 will be discontinued. I also let him know the strong following fk 100 had/has.

Bence, I know you're a big Optimum guy as am I but I was wondering how 216 compares to Poli-Seal?

One thing I've yet to get a definitive answer on (or at least I haven't found one):

What about FK1000P with regard to underlying products- any bonding issues?

The specific combo I'm thinking about is FK1000P over 1Z WaxPolishSoft or the older version of Pro MetallicPolish; not every product bonds OK to 1Z products like these that contain LSPs and I'm wondering if the FK1000P will have issues

I have the FK 215 AIO . Blows the opti-seal away by far. No sure about durability , but clarity , depth. Not sure about 216 but just thought I would throw that out there.

Bence , an Optimum guy ???? ........FK is gonna be mad at you.

So 215 is getting great reviews how about 217 though? The anti static caught my interests. I guess I will have to test it when I get my sample in.

I just hope the 215 and 215 work well with a PC.

don't forget FK146. I use this as much, if not more than 425 as it has some cleaning ability to it.

Agreed , 146 is a nice qd/cleaner combo. Kinda like PB S&W.

The reason I was comparing 216 to Poli-Seal as the content of both is similar, IE nuba/polymer etc. vs 215 which I believe is only polymer.

Yeah Bence is quite knowledgeable when it comes to all things FK1, 1z and Optimum from what I've read on this and other boards.
