Final verdict whether QEW contains wax?

I am going to add my second layer of AJ this evening and am going to wash with QEW beforehand to remove dust accumulation from two days worth of driving. I was wonderingg if I could go straight from QEW to AJ (spray method) or if it would be wise to hit the car with Acyrlic Glos prior to sealing.

To me I would feel better if I used the AG before another coat of AJ. my reason would be that I would know for sure the AJ will bond well and it only takes a few minutes to do. this is my take. I am looking for durability out of the AJ. I have all dd's that sit outside 24/7 so I would go the extra step for * my * needs.

I would probably hit it with AG also or Quick Wash.

Curious...why did you wait to apply second coat?

It was just a timing issue. I finished up real late one night and haven't had a chance to go back and add my second coat until this evening.

I'd probably go with some PB's S&W instead of the AG just to make sure that nothing interfered with the AJ layer bonding. I would be pretty confident that the S&W would remove anything that QEW may leave behind.

Both QEW and S+W have wax in them. Period.

Sean-- I agree that QEW leaves some kind of wax behind. But, I thought PB's Spray and Wipe was wax free. I don't mean to start a debate, but it is specfically listed as not containing wax on the PB's website. Have I missed some big revelation?

Saying something and proving something are two completely different bags of horseshit.

PM me if you'd like the unedited version (have to sugar coat for forums).

Flatstick, what did you learn? PM me if you like.:)

Sorry I did not learn anything. just wanted to split this debate before it gets ugly. my original thought has been to use AG before AJ because they are made to work together. nothing more nothing less. I am outta here on this debate :bolt

I think people deserve to know if S&W has wax in it, no? Until I see the proof, I'm going with the label. Steve has been called out on stuff like this before (wheel cleaner episode), and I have yet to see him err. Of course, that's just what I have/haven't seen ;)

I'm not trying to start a debate or add fuel to the fire, or cause hard feelings for that matter. I'm just curious.

Some will never accept the "truth" as being just that. It's a worthless debate that just brings about hard feelings. If you use it and like it then continue to.

Proof is in the MSDS sheets, not necessarily on the paragraphed label.

I'm not kidding anyone, I bought 5 gallons of the stuff recently. I like using it. However, when it optically enhances my surface, its no simple "waterless wash".

This is very stupid and i think all this MSDS stuff is for the Birds. They tell you the Chemical corps want you to know. If they put a ton of information ya it's great.. but some don't put much at all. If your a busnees then yes for hazardous matarial you should have them. As far as Poorboy's products.. if you look he goes the extra mile and put's the NFPA saftey rating system on his bottles. he is not hiding anything and I wish this littl witch hunt would stop.

I have been trained in MSDS and a ton of other DATA sheets and transport papers because I may have to deal with them on a regular basis and in times of dire emgergency Those papers are not the first thing i would be reaching for.. excpet to have an ID number to call my other resorces with.

This says it all!

Not really... optical enhancement from cleaning the dust off, or because there is a wax present? Just because there is "optical enhancement" doesn't mean there is wax in it. My car is optically enhanced when I hose it down before a wash... I don't think there's any wax in our water supply though.
