Recently purchased a Hitachi rotary and been using it here and there. I precently have the 6" edge wave pads but I am having a problem with them. I used a normal 6.5 CCS pad the other day and had no problem with skipping. Which pads should I invest in for my rotary?

Poll to follow......

I like the LC CCS pads best on the rotary.

Same here..I like the CCS alot better than the Edge pads..I have the edge and they seem to be very absorbent ..The CCS pads seem to hold the polish on the pad surface and get a better work time..

I use my 6.5 and 5 inch CCS pads on the rotary ..they make short work of polishing..

The Propel P2 Green is still the best all-purpose pad I've used on a rotary.. Not prone to skipping at all, cuts well and almost always finishes out LSP ready. Anthony sells it under the Optimum label now.

I agree, I always use the green with 106ff or ZPC to finish up real nice after wool or foam compunding use.

Lake countrys are the best but Sonus DAS are killer as well since they never hop or skip on the paint and allow the polish to glide and spread properly

Edge pads make it harder for the polish to do that. And once used, you never can get the dried up polish or residue totally out

I guess it boils down to what works for some, might not work for others. If the end result is good, it doesn't matter what you use to get there. I've used both LC and EDGE, and I can't tell the difference between the 2. Let's do a blindfold buffing test? HAHA.
