According to brown Santa (UPS) my Edge 8" flat pads are arriving today. After using LC 6.5" on my rotary - I can't wait to try them, may do the next detail for free...........NAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I have about 60 different pads on hand, and for me, the best pad ever made was the green flowered edge American Buffing pads (AKA PIIs); but these are no longer made. For compounding and aggressive polishing, I like the whie and orange Lake Country pads.

Check your PM - They're still around under a new label now.

I just recently switched to Edge pads. I've always liked flat pads after using propel pads some time ago. First, the edge system is awesome I love how the the pads are always centered and just click on and off. Being two sided is also very nice. I also like how the 8" pads come in 5 levels of abrasiveness. As far as the foam it's self, I could never tell the difference between manufacturers foam. I find more of a difference with the type of pad, flat vs concave etc. So my vote is for Edge pads then Propel.

Bringing this thread back to life...

I'm really torn between getting the 6.5" LC CCS and 6" Edge foam to compliment the Edge 6" wool and 3k adapter. I like the idea of double sided pads that are easy to swap out and center every time, but have read some don't like them compared to the LC stuff. I'm just wanting to get more opinions.
