What is this polish similar to? Is it like Menzerna PO85RD or Optimum Finish Polish?

I have no experience with PO85rd or OPT Finish Polish. But according to CG it can remove 2300-3500 grit sanding scratches while Menzerna states the 85rd will cut through 2500 grit and OPT Finish Polish will remove 2500 as well. So going by those numbers they seem similar. The one thing I do not like about P40 Polish is that it is fairly thick. Sometimes it feels like it won't shake. But I deal with it.

Citrus Wash and Clear is a great soap but I have not found it to be completely effective for stripping LSP's. Waxes seem fine but sealants are typically not removed in my experience.

I also use their MF detergent and I am pleased with its performance. I have the water spot remover but I have not had a chance to try it out yet.

I have a handful of their products and will be picking up quite a few more. I'm using this thread as guidance.

That I can remember, I have the following:

GlossWorkz Glaze
GlassWorkz Glass Cleaner
Leather Cleaner
Leather Conditioner
Blitz
InstaWax+
Citrus Wash & Gloss
Body wash & wax
Synthetic QD
G6
VRP2
Wet Mirror
Butter Wet Wax
JetSeal 109
Black on Black or Fade To Black
Luber
Sticky Gel Wheel Cleaner (orange)
Nonsense
5050 Paste Wax
All-In-One Polish + Shine & Sealant

I noticed that as well with the citrus wash. Once you try out the water spot remover please post results been looking at that for some time

EZ Creme is a great glaze if you are looking to give a car some extra pop. Back to Black or whatever it's called in the aerosol can's is a great detailer for engine bays and hard ot reach areas. 50/50 and Pete's 53 are both great waxes at a good price point as well. I also like bare bones and luber, but I don't feel they are must buys.

Who likes there waterless car wash?

I have their Go Green Waterless wash. I am somewhat ambivalent about it.

I like the finish it leaves, but the application is not as quick and easy as other waterless washes.

You spray it on and wipe in one direction, then allow it to haze and buff it off.

I have some Ecosmart on the way. It is also a waterless wash. Don't know what the difference is other than color, and Ecosmart is available as a concentrate.

Thanks for the info. It's cheap enough on Amazon to try. I have Freedom and I like it but just wanted to try something else.

Hey Richard,

Like you, I'm sort of new to Chemical Guys products buy of the ones I've tried they all perform very well and I would purchase them again.

I've tried;

  • Diablo Wheel Gel
  • Hybrid V7 Optical Gloss Spray Sealant
  • Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish
  • 5050 Paste Wax
  • New Car Scent Air Freshener
Because of my limited experience I would have to pick Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish.

like everyone else, I use the CG citrus wash - both the 'gloss' and the 'clear'

the 'gloss' I use to strip LSP. I like it, but it tends to leave some water spots.

the 'clear' is great for regular washing. only need a little, high lubricity, no water spots (or very little in comparison)

I've also used & liked the CG leather conditioner, which claims to add UV protection along with conditioning the leather.

it's ok, doesn't streak even in the cold, and smells pretty good

I'd say durability is similar to DGAW

Very interesting...

So you like Black Light and embolism claims V7 is similar to DG Aqua Wax (which I'm a huge fan of), sounds like I may have to pick up this combo.

Ron, I think I'm going to pick up the Eco Wash and give it a shot. Thanks :)

Most of CG soaps and waxes are real solid performers.

As of late, Blacklight, Glossworkz, and V7 have been very impressive.
