what polishing compound will get rid of that micro marring do you think. I walked away with just bruising. A 96 Tahoe going 50+++ hit me.
 
Look at the cabin integrity, I guess those airbags really did their jobs. Unfortunately, that is also probably why the car is totaled because it is so expensive to replace those airbags. Well, at least they did their job. Good luck.
 
Wow...looks like your car did what it had to do to protect you. I see the side airbags deployed. Good for what it did to protect you, bad for the end result. How bad was the Tahoe? Was the driver drunk?

no not drunk It was an intersection accident. I was t boned I don't want to get into specfics because of the legal aspects. The Tahoe was a 96 and although I have not heard yet I expect it was totaled as well because he had some frame damage and considering the year of the car.... The honda are top rated for impact protection. I had not gotten tired of the car yet and have ordered another 05 same color and equipment. I have proved it is a not only a looker but a safe car too.

Seeing the pics sends a chill up my spine since my old Camry is a bare bones model with nothing but the metal reinforcement and two front air bags. Nothing else; no ABS, VSC (or VSA for Honda?), traction,etc. And I think the crash ratings were acceptable. A screaming metal death trap I suppose.



I am interested in Hondas as a replacement for the sedan and am trying to justify the premium paid for the TL over an Accord EX-L V6 w/ Navi. One worry is torque steer. Any insight on that?
 
the torque steer is more of a problem on the manual transmission minimal to none on the auto. Besides the obvious safety features I loved the voice control nav, bluetooth phone, DVD A. All in all feature packed car. I am waiting to hear when my replacement is arriving. In the meantime I have been using the supra as the Daily driver....( not so hot when the weather is bad)
 
Dang that gotta hurt. Atleast you are okay, thats all count. Whats the mileages u got on the speedo?
 
Well I wlaked away the rest is just $ and I am well insured. I had barely broken it in. she had 1296 onthe odometer. Shortest time I ever owned a car. Bought Nov 26 04 retired Feb 14 2005
 
Did the airbags leave any burning or redness?



People have said that airbag burn is pretty bad, but i dunno. I always wanted to get a beater, put on a helmet, and crash into someitng lol.
 
the air bags only went off on the passenger side the drivers side did not go off. I had an accident about 10 years ago when i slid into a pole druing an ice storm the bags in my maxima went off. I wear glasses and they did not get moved from my face.

dang only 1296 mi :( I saw you have other post of the TL, I guessed that was 2 months ago.
 
Sincerely glad to hear you'er okay.

It's a shame about the car, but nice to see it gave it's life for yours, as it it supposed to be.

Also looking forward to pics of the new beast.
