and recommendations on what to top my UPP/WG with a few recommendations came in for Nattys Blue. I didnt own this product so decided after a lot off reading on here to bite the bullet and get yet another carnuba :LOLOL

On the car was UPP x2 and WG in the above link. Was happy with both and both allowed the flake to pop while also leaving a deep wet look, and Nattys Blue was said to give the same. I own the origional Nattys, but I am almost out and my batch was one that if anyone remembers seperated out when it warms up, leaving a liquid on top.

Before using this Blue I have ended up straying away from UPP and WG though and experimentred more ...

When the order of Nattys Blue arrived so did, SSR 1, 2 and 2.5 as well as Optimum Polish. (Until now I had not enough range of polish products to take full advantage of my PC) With there arrival I had used these in certain areas around the car to with spot pads to remove defects I could'nt with either Speed Glaze or Swirl Free. The result of this meant some panels had been hit in certain areas, some had been totally re polished.

With this I decided I should really add another coat of sealant first. Common sense would have meant adding another coat of WG as that was currently what was on the car! But after washing the car yesterday I decided to go with EX-p.

I have had this sitting around dormant since I sold my light blue car, and was at one stage my go to sealant on that colour. Reasons for my revist, it was in the trunk of my car and I couldnt be bothered to go up stairs and get the wolfgang!!! ;)

Nah truthfully Scottwax's X5 pics and saying he uses this on Metallic Black, and how good it looked, the fact Nattys Blue tub distructions recommends it's application first on the tub, and research on here saying it leaves a clear look, does not mute metallic, plus a half used bottle sat there, and my quest to try whatever I can on my own car. I went with it.

With its application car looked deep and wet, a little less glossy than the UPP/WG combo, paint appeared darker and richer but without the flake muting I have got with the EX with carnuba. So far so good.

Garaged the car over night and woke up to a sunny warm morning and went out and used the Nattys Blue. Car was still really clean, a light wipe with a Pakshak Ultra Fine and I was good to go.

First impressions off the Nattys Blue, smelt like gum, seemed alot harder in the pot than my normal Nattys (which as I said was possibly one of the faulty batch off a while ago that some people exchanged). It seemed a harder, more solid wax than, Pinnacle Souveran/Signature, P21s or S100, more akin to Megs 16.

Applied to the paint with with a yellow foam hand applicator, initally was put off with how blue this product is, turned the hand applicator blue in no time at all, when removing it with my Yellow Sonus Der Wunder ( brand new - first use just for the new wax!) Blue residue was appearing on the towel, made me wonder if the product needs as much colouring in it???? I am more used to yellow/white carnuba's I guess, but applying this to a black car made me wonder how this looks on the paint when applied to white or silver cars, can you see the colour off it? I guess I am just not used to it, but kind off felt artifically modified or something! Initally a little off putting compared to what I am used to.

Applying to the paint it was not as easy on or off as other carnuba's I have or even the origional Nattys. That saying it is not hard work, it is still very easy to use! I did apply it a little to thick to one section off the roof, that combined with tempretures increasing as the sun burnt through a small amount of dust. When applied nice and thin everywhere else no such problems.

Results though wow, nice and wet, dark and glossy with no muting off the flake, very happy for the money. Nice product.

Just sorting the pics now...

All sun shots, sun postion would not allow me to get shade shots as it was high in the sky. Sun was not as low or bright so no flake shots I am afraid, clear to the eye, not to the camera this time.

I like that combo better, it may even beat the souvern you put on too.

Brilliant report.

I used blue PwC and then blue Natty's on my metallic blue - lovely wet shine with no muting either, I am a big Poorboy's fan!

ooooooooooh, rich, You've just made my mind up for me, mate.

Sorting out my write off with the other party's insurers this week, and have just seen a black clio dci in a local dealers.

Will have to go back tomorrow when it's dry to look it over properly, but if it's blemish free, its gonna be mine! lol

Minty mate - sweet shots and work.

What camera are you using as I'm on the hunt for a new digital - a mate's just bought a 10x optical zoom for less than £200 and that's seriously tempting!

seriously...in all honesty i can say that may be the cleanest car i have ever seen.. i applaud both your results, and your devotion to your car and work.

That looks great! You make me wanna get another wax, although I found that I have been spending way too much, so I think I'll have to hold off, well hell maybe I will get it while autogeek still has it on sale and free shipping. Damn thanks a lot for making me spend more money. lol Also what did you use on the tires?

Cheers for the comments all.

Been a busy busy day, did the clio and posted these, then shot over to the G/fs this afternoon 5 hours on here car getting it ready to for her to go back to college, and I havent started polishing it yet. She has been working a a plant nusery and using it as van for them! Interior and boot/trunk are done, plus it is washed, looks respectable at least. Never seen anything like it! Lots of Ag interior shampoo used. She is not Autopian in the slightest, but then turned very picky when I started, by halfway through she then had stopped being bored and then it had to be perfect!

Oh no Paul what happened to the 206?

Paint is very soft on mine so expect the odd swirl.

Check which black it is too, mine is 267 Black Gold, the other Metallic Black, just called Pearlescant Black IIRC is not quite as nice tends to look a little grey and washed out. But that could be down to poor product choice on the cars I have seen.

Ya, if there is one thing natty's blue does best it's making the car look like the paint is still totally wet. Awesome shots.

Agreed. Wet with glowing nuclear waste!
