Hi:
I think I now have everything to begin work on my car. I was only wondering what you guys think my paint needs or more acurately if what i have will work. I know there are some great pruducts around but it's hard for me to get most of them.
Here is a list of the thing I've been able to gather in the past six months (yes this long, my PC took two months to get and the pads and P21S about 4 months!!!!). In parenthesis is what I plan to do with each product:
1-3M claybar ( paint prep)
2-3M FI-II fine compound (polishing)
3-3M SMR for dark colors (removing and hiding more swirls)
4-3M IHG (hiding more swirls and giving more shine)
5-P21S (wax, protection)
Aplication of steps 1 through 4 via PC and foam pads.
I got Yellow, Orange, White and Black pads.
I'm afraid I am trying to do too many steps and making it worse.
Should I cut steps?
What do you think about the product selection?
Any tips on matching product and pads?
And PC speeds?
Here is a close up of the actual state of the paint on my car so you can judge better.
Thanks
Ricardo
