Duragloss questions

Ive got some questions about Duragloss products.

What does the 601 PBA work with? Is it 105 TPP or 111 CCP?

Is AquaWax much better then say, Eagle 1 wax-as-you-dry?

I have someone visiting from the States who will purchase Duragloss for me. NAPA in Canada doesnt carry Duragloss.

601 PBA works with 105 or 111.

IMO - AW is one of the best all around spray on wax/sealants for its combination of reasonable price, ease of use, outstanding wet and glossy looks, and decent durability (up to 2 months).

It's up there with OCW, Z8, and Werkstatt AJ IMO.

I concur with Milestones. 601 will work with any DG sealant, although it is not required.

AW is a fantastic spray sealant, and again I agree with the above. It has surpassed my expectations for quality, especially at its price point. It is much better than the E1 product you mentioned, IMO. Although, I am getting slightly more durability from AW (about 2.5 to 3 months) than he mentioned, it is still a pretty durable product for a simple-as-pie spray sealant. Many wipeon/wipeoff sealants will not last as long.

The AW and 105 TPP are DGs best products for the paint, IMO. There are many others very worthy of trying though....

Thanks for the quick responses!

Whats the difference between 105 and 111? The website isnt too specific. Is one a pure sealant and one has cleaning qualities?

Does AW have any cleaning?

AW does not have any cleaning qualities at all. It is a pure polymer spray.

105TPP is their newest sealant technology and is far better, IMO, than their older 111 formula. The 105 and 111 do not really clean at all, from my experience. The 105 is easier to use than 111, has much greater durability, and is shinier and slicker. A real treat to use actually, and provides outstanding protection. The DG company claims the 105 will last up to 12 months on the bottle. From my experience it is at least a 6 month protectant, putting it up there with any of the popular sealants used on the forums for durability. For $9 a bottle and the ability to acquire a bottle down the street, it is a no brainer for me.

Grease....

AW has no cleaning....just a spray sealant...fast Clean and shine from DG is the cleaner type QD..very good product...and also adds some protection...

the cleaner in 105 is very mild...to me I would not consider it a cleaner..but the polymers in 105 are different than the ones in 111...105 is the new tech polish from DG...

Both are good..but 105 has the edge on 111 for looks and durabilty..

for the cost..DG is hard to beat..Looks great...Last Long...Easy to use...buy from factory for 4.95 shipping...great tech support from DG..available at some Parts stores...

Six...Im a high school math teacher. So that was an easy one for me:ignore

105 is nothing like an AIO actually. AIO contains strong cleaners, which 105 doesn't have. I have found virtually no cleaning ability from 105. If there is anything in 105, it is really really light just to ensure it is able to properly bond to the paint surface, not to deep clean the paint, like an AIO product. 105 should *not* be mistaken for an AIO...it is far from it.

105 is not like AIO..AIO is more a cleaner than a protectant....105's cleaners are very mild...almost to the point of nil....the 101 is the AIO of the DG line..it really cleans paint..and leaves protection also...less durable ..but best cleaner...

The 601 has a strong cleaner..it will remove old wax and dead sealant....and fallout...

using the 601 and 105 is a system....the 601 cleans the paint..and is left on the paint..not removed...the 105 is applied over the 601..the 601 residue acts like a catalyst and is suppose to add better durability to the 105 or 111..

I have the 601 and 105 combo on my truck..since late August and still doing great....AW'd twice since August and it beads great and shines like it was just done..

AL-53,

I wish that Duragloss would give you a nice fat check to write their product descriptions for them. The words "Polish & Wax" are so overused (and incorrectly so) on some of the products..........they need your help for some description accuracy!

Thanks for clearing up some product confusion, for me anyway. I'll have to give the 105 a go, the AW is one fine product.

I have talked to them about the product page....and descriptions....on how it needs more info...well they are 2 laid back country guys..(Bill and Jerry)....Last time I talked to them I was told they are working on a few new products..still in the research stage- testing stage now..I told them to give better details on it when it comes to market...they do need to revamp the page and do product descriptions better...

Al,

Any timeline on the release of the new products? Any idea what types of products they are working on? I have never spoken to the DG guys, but they sound like pretty easy to talk to guys. I wonder what they will have up their sleeves next! If it's anything like AW and 105, it will be a sure winner!!

what is the different between #951 and #921,both works about the same to me.I know #951 is a sealant/wax so do I still need #921.What is the purpose for #921?

951 is a spray sealant with no cleaning abilities ....best to use on a just washed and dried vehicle...can be used while drying but works its magic best on a dry surface..use every 6-8 weeks

921 is a QD with a cleaner... meaning it does clean off dust..bird crap..fingerprints...waterspots to a point..and adds some protection also as it does have a little sealant type polymer in it...to be used in between washings to keep the the just washed look going..use it like any QD

they are 2 different products...

#921 Being Fast Clean & Shine. It leaves protection behind? Can it be used in between Polishing steps? Or for Pre Sealing such as Zaino or any strong Sealant?
