Do you have any pics of your truck with 915 and AW? That'd be cool to see, thanks.

Surfer

here are a couple pictures I took today...it needs a wash but pictures do show what it looks like somewhat...I will do a wash and Aquawax tonite when it cools down....

now this is Aquawax over collinite #915..last application of AW was 4 weeks ago..with a few washes since then...

I will be doing the whole truck over soon...basically the truck still has it's winter coat..just been playing with products like AW and 425...winter coat was Klasse twins and collinite #915 with OCW 2 times during winter..

I have a lot of products to try..but hooked on the duragloss look and durability

may sell some stuff off now..found what I like

I purchased the Aquawax, quick detailer, bug remover, and vinyl/leather treatment at my local autoparts store. The total was $27 and some change.

Aquawax-Very easy to use and apply. Looks great and is very slick. This mirrors what others have had to say about it. Durability is not known

Fast Shine QD- Also very easy to use. Great cleaning power and will not streak on glass. My new fav. OTC detailer

Bug Remover-works very well. I use it for my quick details on my truck and I let it sit on the front areas for like 1-2 min and then wipe with my MF and viola! Bug free with no wax removal.

Vinyl/Leather treatment-Ok, I bought this with low expectations and was going to use in in my fender wells. But I tried it on my trim and loved it. Very nice finish, like new. Had to buff a little to get the shine down a bit, but still great.

I do think I will go and buy more DG stuff later on. I want to try the car wash and the #111 polish and bonding agent. I am afraid the shine will be to "artificial" as others have stated. I am interested in something called track claw racing polish. It states that it is for use on drag cars to make the finish slick to improve lap times and make dirt not stick. I always wanted to make my Tundra faster. :think2

Brandon
Does anyone know how their TRACK CLAW products compare to their DG line? http://www.duragloss.com/catalog.asp?catid=103

If anyone really believes that Track Claw Polish will reduce your drag coefficient and lower your lap times, I have some swampland in Arizona to sell you too...

I'm going to email Duragloss also. Let the autopia presence be known!

No answer to my email today ... maybe tomorrow.

Does extra coats of AW improve the gloss?

I purchased 3 bottles yesterday from CQ and applied one coat.

Very pleased, waxing doesn't get any easier than this ... unless you get someone else to do it for you.

I have not gotten any reply as of yet to my e-mail also...

But to answer your question..yes...extra coats do improve looks and durability...but you can only go so far ..just like anything else...I would say after 3-5 coats you will reach your peak...

What I have found is that using the shampoo..the QD and Aquawax as a system just makes for outstanding results...and using the sealant and bonding agent with the above ..All I can say is WOW...just prep the paint as you would for any product and use the above ..you will not be dissapointed...it is like the zaino system..they all complement each other...not that it is zaino..but like thier system..using same brand to complement each other...

Duragloss is a underated product..but top shelf..and cheap to use..

I have tried to find the AW in all of the Parts Plus, Car Quest, or Napa's in my area. Guess I would have to order online.

I used to use this stuff over 10 years ago before I knew what I know now. For as little as I knew then, I was always pretty happy with my results. I think I threw all my stuff out in favor of Klearcote, Poorboys, and P21 products. I may have to give this stuff another go around now that I've seen more professional results. Had I thought to give my old stock a shot before buying all this new stuff, I may have been bragging about this over a year ago.

Anyway it's always good to see such a good product for a good price. Especially when I can get it only a mile from home.

For those of you having trouble finding the Duragloss stuff, i found this while looking around online.

Duragloss Bucket

It seems like it might be something for someone who wanted to try a few of their products. Shipping to my location was around $5 also.

I tried Aqua Wax today. It leaves a super high gloss shine . I would think that it would great for light to medium colors. My car is like a mirror. IMO on dark colors I still prefer Nano Spray Wax because Nano has a lot of fillers in it so it hides swirls and minor scratches . If your paint is perfect then use the Aquawax, the shine is brighter, the finish is slicker . Spray waxes have come a long way , and in the near future you wont need regular wax anymore.

I'm a sucker for QDs and similar spray, wowo products. Just ordered Aquawax on line along with a few other things. Someone said the on line prices and store prices are the same and since shipping is only $5 and no sales tax, it is not worth it for me to try to hunt down their products in stores.

There is a discount code for 10% off that was posted somewhere a few days ago. I think it was 10-25. The order form at Duragloss did not accept the code but I ordered anyway. I then sent them an email telling them about it and they replied right away that they would honor the 10% off. Pretty good of them since for all I know it may not be valid any longer.

Just an FYI - Here's what Duragloss answered me in response to a few questions, e.g. what kind of cleaning profile (if any) does it have, and can it be layered over a carnuba like 21S or 845 :

James,

Aquawax has a small amount of cleaner in it. It can be layered without removing the previous layer.

You can apply Aquawax over carnuba or any polymer polish to increase the durability.

Thanks for using Duragloss.

God Bless,

Jerry, Research & Development

I'm liking this stuff more and more...
