Duragloss next big thing? I think so!

Oh yeah...I had a cool experience with the AW yesterday. Quick story... It began last Friday when I simply washed the car and applied a full coat of the AW. Car looked great, was slick, and I was happy. Well, it rained that day shortly after I had finished the car and since I park outside 24/7, and under some trees, I had slight water spotting, but nothing major. Well, yesterday, on the way home from work, I was caught in a quick but heavy downpour of a thunderstorm. Driving about 55-60mph the rain was literally running straight off the car, which was from the AW application. Before I made it home the car was completely dry and actually looked better than before it rained!! It's true. No rain and dirt stuck to the car, almost looked just washed. Not to start any heresay, but there is only one other product that I use where this really happens to me, in a very similar fashon. The AW durability is pretty outstanding which should provide beading indefinitely with just occassional use. So simple to apply, I can never see my car ever having a lack of beading again! Top notch!

I seriously can't find a single fault with the AW. For *me* this product may be the "holy grail" that I have always searched for.

I agree with TigerMike....The Duragloss products are top notch...They work as a system..like Zaino and FK1...each product complements each other.

The Aquawax works with every thing I put it on..that is a plus..and the QD is better than most .

They have been in business for 30 years so they must be doing something right..even if distribution is hard to find..

I wish I found DuraGloss years ago before I spent a lot of money chasing the rage products and the perfect shine...for the cost and results of Duragloss you can not beat it...

That's happened to me with both the 845 and AW.

Since I'm seeing people more and more talking about topping Collinite with AW, how would AW look over Natty's Blue? Still kinda confused as isn't the spray more of a sealant, which shouldn't go over a nuba?

The best answer i can give you is the duragloss gods made it so.

True, but some have speculated that Collinite isn't all just carnauba wax, but instead possibly a resin (polymer) as well. That said, I don't see why the AW wouldn't work over Collinite. But, I have not used it over pure caranuba, so can't say exactly how that would work out. I do know that Duragloss makes a carnauba/poly blend wax product, and I'll bet you could use the AW over that too with good results. So, I think it would be fine to use over the Natty's, and would probably give a more reflective appearance and provide good (additional) beading. Durability may not be as good as over a syn product, but you never know... :)

What you have to realize is that most nubas are poly/carnauba blends. Depending on what ingredients are used a pure-poly sealant may/maynot bond with a polynuba.

I believe most carnubas have a polymer in it as a carrier agent..I could be wrong..if a wax contains say 30% carnuba..what is the 70% left over...has to be more than just a solvent used as a carrier...or you would have a liquid wax...I see no problem using it over Natty's at all...I use it over collinite 915 with no problems...so going over natty's should be no problem..

Do you have any pics of your truck with 915 and AW? That'd be cool to see, thanks.

So, I've got the Aquawax itch... I wanna be on the bandwagon but I just put down a coat of FK1's Pink Wax. Do you reckon the AW would bond over the PW??? I've got FX-100 and it's great but I just have to try the AW.... :think2

Yea, it will. I have AW over 2 coats of Pink Wax now. Works great.

Someone asked about their car wash as well. Im using it diluted in my foam gun. Suds like crazy and has great lubricity.

Alot of NC members on this thread.

I will put the AW on my gf's daily driver and get some really good durability reports for yall. And I will have some pics soon too.

Guess that's one advantage to have CarQuest's everywhere.. I never thought that crappy store would come in handy for anything.

AGREED-I always thought Carquest stores were useless too- but the two near me carry the Duragloss line as well as some Megs Professional stuff and buffing pads.

Does anyone know how the store prices compare to their on-line prices?

I think they are pretty even/comparable. I have bought numerous DG products (all locally) and the prices on the website are nearly identical to the local pricing, at least in this area.
