Drivepur

Hrmmmmmm. I'm interested in the opinions coming from the folks that have ordered it. I'm definitely interested in this setup.

I received my 3 gallons of product on Tuesday, the fogger shipped seperate and should be here any day now then I'll post my review.

You can use w/ a sprayer or even the tornador.

You lost me....why would I need a sprayer if it comes in "spray bottles"?

As for the tornador, I don't plan to get one otherwise sure, that'd be how I'd use the stuff. I'm looking for the cheapest, simplest way to do a one-time deodorizing for a non-critical situation (the aforementioned Crown Vic, which I can simply live with if need be).

Auto Vaccine chlorine dioxide, followed by a Dakota odour bomb. I don't care what anyone says, it hasn't failed me yet. That said, I'm still thinking about a professional fogging machine, but thus far, nothing I've run into in the odour department has left me stumped.

Sorry I meant the spray bottle or tornador, or now the new sonic fogger.

Product works fine - with the 32 ounce spray bottle - However the smok product has to come in contact with the tar and nicotine. Smok has a very powerful molecule that destorys the tar molecule... - Spray smok into air vents and air inlet to help distribute the product. Headliner is important as well.

Fogmaster Jr. or HVLP sprayer used in the spray tan industry works well.

The problem with the above treatment is that once an odor is introduced back into the vehicle - you need to retreat it. Auto Vaccine is effective in removing germs and bacteria - the kill life of auto vacine (stabilized chlorine dioxide) is about 5 minutes - Mold germs and bacteria will regrow after that.

The 3rd step in the DrivePur process is our product called prevnt; Prevnt uses Ultroviolet Photocatalic Oxidation (UV-PCO) that will continue to keep odors germs and bacteria out of the vehicle for up to 6 months. A smoker can continue to smoke in the car - within 15 minutes the new odors are broken down. Once treated the vehicle needs sunlight- airflow and humidity to break down the contaminants.

One thing this forum is missing is that Drivepur is more than an odor product. You need to offer the health benifits as well. We have a carwash that sells 170 to 200 health treatments a month - (Shok and Prevnt) "How would you like to offer your clients Odor, Germ and Allergen Free Driving" with a 6 month re-application. $69.95 retail price for 15 minutes of work. Great add on to a detail. We have DVD of the drivepur video for all that need it. Static Cling stickers "Drivepur Certified" re-application stickers etc.

I think the DrivePur product seems like a great idea, and again, I'm very interested in hearing how it works for those in this thread that have ordered it. I'm definitely considering the complete package including the fogging machine. For the professional, this is definitely the type of service you want to offer.

That said, for someone who needs a one-time treatment to remove and odour (that isn't a recurring one like say a smoker in a vehicle), the Auto Vaccine & Dakota Bomb combination will work pretty effectively.

Finally arrived...Will have reviews within the next few days!

Got a Jeep in yesterday with an bad case of mildew. Pulled the carpet yesterday and it's so bad my entire shop smelled like mildew this morning when I came in. Since I don't have my fogger yet I'm going to give the Drivepur a shot using spray bottles. I will report back later today or tomorrow, depending on how long the carpet takes to dry out.

Ok so I misted all carpet and upholstery in the Jeep with the spray bottles and there is absolutely no mildew smell anymore. The Smok chemical had a weird smell but the directions on the bottle said it's normal and it went away in about an hour and the Jeep just smells fresh now. I'm very impressed it did this well with spray bottles, can't wait to get my fogger!

I was also contacted by a local rep and the plan is to have them come and demo the system at my shop sometime next week.

Both were extremely helpful. I will be running a test on the machine this weekend on a car that has been heavily smoked in for years. So we'll see how we'll it does!!
