Hmm...sorry to hear it's a big buy-in. Sorta puts it out of the reach of "casual"/non-Pro users, huh?

With the prices from Kristee you can get in w/ a gallon of each chemical & sonic fogger for the same price of an ozone machine. Cost is about 15$ per application when purchasing by the gallon as an fyi.

And it actually works, unlike ozone!! I'm glad to see more people are jumping on the DrivePur bandwagon. We have had great success with it.

Thanks for the added info, and Welcome to Autopia! to DrivePur.

I'm just in a "probably not worth it" situation personally, as I have a one-time use for it that's far from critical- the Crown Vic's original owner must've spilled some cologne or somesuch, not awful by any means but it doesn't smell like a new Ford. I know...I oughta pull the seats and headliner and get to the root of the issue but I'd rather not bother :o Heh heh, here I can keep my dog-haulers smelling showroom new indefinitely, but it's a "nice smell" that challenges me!

I don't see this as a subsitute for Ozone generators, which have worked out fine for me in household applications. IMO the big problem with ozone is that people try wimpy little "safe" or "consumer level" generators for jobs where they need something more (and I'm thinking more about buildings/etc. than vehicles). IMO both DrivePur and Ozone have their applications.

@ DrivePur. My understanding is that Titanium Dioxide is the active ingredient. My question is that UV light is needed to activate TD's properties, does the car glass allow enough UV light through and is there a time delay before the magic of TD and UV light deodorize the interior or does it take time.

Just checked some other companies and it looks like they just use titanium dioxide. I found some online for pretty cheap and am going to give thata try. Ill report back when I get a chance to use it.

Just received all my marketing materail from Drivepur. Quality tri-folds, mirror hangers, & window stickies. System should be shipping tomorrow. Once received I'll post a review!

Just did some more research. I cant comment on DrivePur as they withhold their materials from their MSDS sheets but another company's MSDS shows a usage of between 5000 and 8000ppm of titanium dioxide. That means that 1 pound of Titanium dioxide is dissolved into 15 gallons of water. The stuff on ebay claims to be pharmaceutical grade and is only $12 shipped to the house.

Im sure DrivePur has additional ingredients to produce better results, but as a hobbyist, this will do just fine.

Should have it by mid next week.

Cool thing I saw was that companies are coating cfl bulbs with this stuff and selling for $15 per bulb. The price isnt the cool part but this is great for people with animals, kids, or other smelly stuff in your house without having to worry about spraying your walls.

Be careful of what your buying - If purchasing TiO2 that's not a nano particle - It will turn white on plastics and black interiors. Most of our competitors are using a Sol solution (water) to distribute the product. Tio2 brakes down most binders... What makes Drivepur different is we have a (patent pending) polymer based binder that will not break down and is UV friendly polymer; most polymers have UV inhibitors (car wax) Tio2 needs the UV Light to be effective.

Most of the Tio2 your finding is out of China, Korea and Japan - Ours is not. We also use a crystalized nano tio2 - the crystalized tio2 reduces the amount of UV needed.

If your trying to remove odors with just Tio2 - Your customers will be dissappointed. Tio2 is not an immediate fix it will take days for the Tio2 to remove the odors. TiO2 needs sunlight airflow and humidity to work.

DrivePur is a 3 step process:

Step 1 changes the chemistry of tar and nicotine as well as working on high ph odors

Step 2 antibacteral odor neutralizer for low ph odors

Step 3 tio2 - "The insurance policy the odor will not comeback.

We do hundreds of demo's a month with a 99.9 success rate -

Repo'd camaro with 15lbs of crawfish that were in the trunk for 12 days - No problem.

Tornador works well we introduced the fogger early this year... delivers a <5 micron particle thats dry to the touch and uses less product.

Thanks I appreciate your reply. At this point this would only be for me so I can't justify the cost at this point. Hopefully in the future I can. Your explanation makes me want your product way more than the website. Love the detail of explanation. The video was a little too infomercial for me.

It looks like I'll need this new fogger machine. ;)

Mine was supposed to ship last week but there was an issue w/ the heads on the machines and getting through customs per my Drivepur rep. So she advised they should be shipping the middle to end of this comming week. So we'll see!

ok so i finally got into contact with drivepur (had to call and email numerous times) and they directed me to a local distributor(their distributor page wasnt working so i couldnt get the local reps number myself) and i drove down to the local reps shop which was located deep inside another shop(very confusing and no parking)..and they didnt have the product for sale yet since they apparently JUST became a distributor and havent even tried the product yet or had it entered into their computer system. very disappointing considering all the trouble to get their number plus the 30 minute drive.

so he did give me a brochure kit (which is really nice like jbank0 mentioned) and im waiting for them to try the unit over the weekend. He said they will start selling it in about a week. i will be picking up the 4oz trio for now since he doesnt even have the fogger unit in stock and would have to charge me $50 for ground shipping. hopefully i can try them out with an atomizing sprayer i have by the end of the week.

my questions for johnkleven and drivepur are;

How fine can the tornador spray it? is it a pain to swap out chemicals between stages? i dont own one yet, and since its ~120 i figure i might as well get the fogger for ~500 shipped.

how loud is the fogger unit?how heavy is it?

why do you waste 2oz of product everytime? i understand it isnt supposed to run dry, but the manual seems to state to dispose of fluid after use and to use a fresh 4oz bottle?? is it not reusable on the next car? cant i just add 2 more oz to that for a 5 minute cycle?

can i order larger bottles direct from drivepur? the rep i talked to sounded like he will only be selling 4oz bottles which is too much trouble to go through.

i know it is meant for automotive use, but how large of a room do you think it can fog? i was looking to try it in a 12x10x10 smoking lounge.

and last question is how safe is it when you first open the doors after fogging?

thanks in advance

The tornador works great and really penetrates the fabric and carpet in the car. The pressure of the tornador is also enough to shoot in one heater vent and it will start oozing out the rest of the vents. Looking forward to trying the new machine though, especially if it uses less product. Tornador is really easy to use, as I have a cup and cap for each chemical, so I just unscrew and reinstall gun on a different cup. Best of luck!

Hey Jaynick...My Drivepur rep advised me I could pour and reuse the additional 2oz of chemical left over. And you can order the chemicals by the gallon or 4 gallon cases.

Questions about the fogger - we wanted to deliver the product using less than a 4 micron droplet - The only way to accomplish this by is using and ultra-sonic. Fog is created by sound vibration the heads require 2 ounces of product to sit on top of the heads anything below that will shut off the heads. We have a drain line that allows you to capture the 2 ounces - You can look at this way ( treat 2 cars capture 4 ounces of product the 3rd car you treat is free.)

I'm going to be getting the chemicals on Monday. I plan to use a Fogmaster Jr for right now and then purchase the sonic fog machine a little later. I will report back with how well the Fogmaster does and how much wiping is needed as it's not a totally dry fog like the sonic fogger.
