To coin Deanskis' phrase "Don't let the dealership "Swirl mark and scratch application department"
Today a buddy brought over a week old Black/Black Jetta TDI. The dealer must have washed it with a corn broom then waxed it ( if you could call it that.. 1/2 the panels had missing spots .. no water bead at all) .. there was basically no gloss at all and very very shallow scratches and swirls everywhere.
I did a dawn wash to git rid of what ever they had smeared everywhere then using my woossie lil Simoniz orbital I went over the complete car slowly with #9, wiping down with alcohol/water after each panel untill I was happy.
Once happy I put on a coat of Glanz then once I had finished the windows, tires and black trim I QD'd with #51.
Camera we had wasn't great but I think you can see the results. And the important part .. he was pleased.
