Domestic: Are you a Chevy, Mopar, or Ford guy?

When it comes domestic cars I was always a Mopar guy.

love em all.. especially the old challengers, super birds, power wagon was cool... so many great cars. when I hear the word Hemi I just get all warm and fuzzy inside.

While I am not to big a fan of the newer domestic offerings from the other two, older chevys really get my blood pumping. 69 Camaro, the 57 Bel Air, 64 impala ... yea... I could see these every day and never get tired of them. :D

Ever since I knew what a Chevy was, I was a Chevy guy. Now that my dad has a Corvette and I have driven it, more a Chevy Guy

But I gotta admit that the Boss 302 and Viper are some pretty sweet rides I wouldn't mind owning.

My dad was a mechanic during the muscle car days, so I grew up with an appreciation for all of them. However, for spending my own money on them, I've bought mostly Fords.

Ford guy here. Being from the general Dearborn area, and having worked there in about a half dozen of the buildings before moving. I've owned "67" HO 289 FB, "86" 5.0, "98" 4.6, "11" 5.0 (current) with a SHO and F150's in between. Throw in "10" Fusion Sport (Met Blk) and "11" Focus SES (silver) rounds out the current list. Oh and almost forgot the Windstar with nearly 200K, my rainy day driver so the 5.0 only comes out when it's nice.

I owned a 01 stang 03 Mach 1 08 stang and now a 2011 5.0 may seem like a ford guy but I like them all

I have owned Chevy's and Fords over the years and I had much better luck with the Chevy's I owned but that was years ago. I have an 01 Silverado with 140K on it and it has been a great truck with very few repairs.

I think the new Fords are much better than they used to be and I am considering an F 150 for my next truck.

I think MOPAR has a ways to come still but with the Fiat ownership I think they will turn things around.

I like ford and mopar myself. For a short time when i was a kid my dad was working on his friends 71 road runner. Complete restore job. 426 hemi in it too. Was cool when your 16 and ready to drive. just never drove it.

Chevy's/GM for the past 40 years.....

These are in my garage right now..... :D

Mopar, the only domestic we have owned has been a Dodge Caravan, but this car has been great to us. Only breaks down sometimes and handles everything we throw at it and we throw a lot. Over it's soon to be 7 year life span it's gone to 570,000 KM and handled more then 1000lbs almost daily as well as taken us to almost all eastern states. Family Cruzer, Delivery Vehicle and Rolling Entertainment.

Are any of the GM guys more a fan of the brands other than Chevy? How about any Buick fans? The GS was a pretty awesome ride!

I liked Pontiac a lot but it's gone now. I like GMC a lot but it's basically the same as Chevy. Buick has some nice cars the GS is a nice looking car.

I've owned too many Fords and Chevys to even count, and currently own 2 Chevys. My Tahoe is a piece of crap because its a retired Border Patrol truck, but the Montana (Pontiac's version of a Venture) has been decent. I've honestly not had the best luck with GM, but it was mostly electrical problems in all of them. The motors were bullet proof. The best car I've ever had was a Mitsubishi Eclipse. That thing saw 6 grand in every gear, every day for 4 years and the only thing I ever had to replace was oil and tires. Those cars share many parts with Dodge, and were built in Normal Illinois, so I never really considered it an import.
