Domestic: Are you a Chevy, Mopar, or Ford guy?

I like all three. Ive owned a 03 Ram, 08 Cobalt, 01 Malibu, 98 Neon, 95 Saturn, and now I have a 92 Mustang. For trucks I have to be loyal to Dodge, but I feel that all 3 manufacturers are really stepping it up and making some great cars, but I still feel more loyal to Chrysler products.

Todd, what year LS1 camaro did you have? I'd love to hear about it!

I'm definitely a Chevy guy! I was raised on them. If that wasn't enough I built my 98 Z28 a LS3 427 forged motor pushing 625hp and now my GMC Sierra daily/detail rig is supercharged with ~400hp (another 100hp coming soon).

Even though I was raised on them, my eyes aren't blind to the exceptional offerings of Ford and MOPAR these days. I'd actually like to pick up a 2012 F150 FX4 next year as a new detail rig. It's truly an exceptional truck with great power, comfort, and fuel economy, not to mention good looking too.

Im a Chevy guy through and through although I have owned a couple of Fords and a Chrysler when growing up. I think a true car lover can appreciate any brand of car. All have their plusses but IMO you should appreciate them all.:buddies:cheers:

I had a 98 LS1 Camaro, blue on black, 6 speed. When I first had it there wasn't a lot of aftermarket for the LS1 yet, but I did have a set of pulleys, a thermostat, and chip. On street tires it was good for 13.2's. When I put a set of drag radials on it was good for a 12.9, launching it like an animal.

I have thought about getting a C5 Z06 a lot lately, almost pulled the trigger a couple time, but as it stands I am happy with the Mazdaspeed. Turbo's are cool too.

Do it. We had one of those when I worked for a Chevy dealer a few years ago. Hands down the fastest, most unholy car I've ever driven. I'd never in my life felt like a car was determined to kill me until that day

I wanted one too and have been tempted a few times. I had a friend that had a Speedway White C5 Z06 and from what I understand it's pretty rare color on the Z06.

A girl I worked with had a family member with on almost identical and they asked if I was interested in it when they put it up for sale.

I really like turbo cars though. When my friend had his turbo Supra it felt awesome to hit the gas on the highway and feel the boost kick in.

313 SW Z06's I believe...

The White Z06's are awesome. I would either want white or Electron Blue. I might (gasp) consider (gasp gasp) black as well!

This is a hard topic for me. Some of the domestic vehicles driven and loved
67 GT 500 (also personally restored)
67 GT 350 ( also restored)
57 T Bird ( also restored)
69 Grand Prix 429 SJ (also restored)
69 Z28 Comaro(also restored)
63 1/2 Galaxie Lightweight (also restored)
57 Eldorado Brougham- beautiful vehicle..no performance though but great driver.

I'm still with Gearead one of my favorites is the Pantera. A 1972 Pre L. It is Ford powered. 500hp after being detuned from turbos. A total handful, Simple, No aids. Brutal when you let her loose. 2nd fastest Pantera at Laguna Seca when raced. She almost sold and I would have missed her. Not mine but have enjoyed every moment behind the wheel. Have enjoyed her even more since back.

Sorry having a little "carmance" moment.

Still wouldn't mind a Jensen CV-8 or Interceptor, Chrysler powered though.

So I'm still the oddball. Since driving the Sunbeam Tiger you could
Say Ford.

That's an impressive list :-) I saw Wayne Carini do a segment on the Sunbeam Tiger on his show a few months back. Very beautiful cars.

Along with Ryan B, I have been fortunate to detail the Sunbeam Tiger prototype. To my knowledge it is the only Tiger that was built with a automatic transmission as well.

It all depends where you look on my life's timeline!

I was a Ford man in the 1960's especially with the Mustangs.

In the 1970's it was Mopar all the way....Hemi Cuda's and 440 6-Pack Road Runners..........But of course the Road Runner was a 1969 and the Cuda a 1970.

The 1980's and 1990's were wife and kids

The 2000's I'm a Z06 Corvette owner with a Dodge Dakota SLT... But I absolutely Love the Ford GT!!

I must be a prostitute!! :rofl

Chevy all day here .. I grew up around my Father's 70 Chevelle SS 454 and I LOVED that car .. it's a shame we didn't hang onto it now knowing how spoiled I would make the paint :(
