Dollar Tree microfibers! Best in the world!

Well, I went to two Dollar Tree stores...No luck.

So, I started going to Dollar General, Family Dollar, It's a Buck,

The Perfect Dollar Store, etc...Nine stores total. Whew.

After the 4th store, I started to feel like Bill Murray, in the

movie, "Groundhog's Day". Maybe my Dollar Tree store will

get some MF's next week

My GF just opened her new Dollar Store today!! She hasn't received her linens shipment yet though, so I don't know if she is going to get any MF's, but I am sure she can order some for me:D

If you live near me, let me know and I can get some!!

Ok. I boiled these MF's like the instructions said to do and they got plusher.......... anyone have any idea why?

I went to the Dollar Rama at Square One, and they had M.F. Towels at some point, but were presently sold out. I will wait and re-visit at a later date.

I was down to the Walmart at the same mall and they had some 3M micro fiber towels. They were not plush at all. Anyone have any experience with these towels???

The store I bought mine from was called "Dollar Tree". The MFs also have this printed on the back of the label;

Dollar Tree Dist.

Chesapeake, Va 23320

Hope this helps. Just go in there and bust their balls everyday until they get you some.

Thanks! I'll go check out my Dollar Tree tomorrow (there's a Lunar New Year parade on that street). I could really use some for various parts of the interior. :xyxthumbs

ryeh2o,

To my recollection, 3M was the first one to introduce MF back in 1998. Even though the yellow 3M has no nap it passed my CD test. Just don't have the towel capture any dirt. Otherwise its scratch city bigtime. Very unforgiving. An OK window towel but I would not use it on my paint. There are better choices.

My WalMart in CT does not yet carry the 3M towel. Can you tell me what price was it selling for at your WalMart? Thanks.

I got mine today. It says 80% Polyester 20 % Polyammide..

What is CD test? Comparison Diagnostic test? or just test on CDs..

EDIT

ok, I found out what's CD test..

since I dont have AOL cds, I used my Kodak gold cdr.

I did test the $1 mf towel, passed, didn't see any scratch under 100w lights. :)

Bad news for me was that 2 of my cotton 100% towels failed pretty bad..

also my new Costco Sheepskin made light scratches on cd

Hey jmsc

Thanks for the heads up about the 3M m.f. towels.

They were 5.99 or there abouts at Walmart.

Cheers

Ryeh,

They just got new stock in (I was there last friday) the Dollarama in Scarborough Town Centre.

I'm making a trip there after my exam this wednesday, if you are interested I could pick some up for you.

Just PM me.

And to edit my above posts, I went to "Dollarama" not "Dollar Store"

going to dollar tree in the morning they have a a lot of dollar tree stores the main office is 6 miles from me. thanks .:)

ryeh2o and jmsc, I'm not sure if there's any difference between them, but there are both 3M Automotive MF cloths (yellow) and 3M Household MF cloths (multiple colours). I've seen both up here and don't clearly remember the automotive one, but think they're both similar and very low-napped. The household ones are fairly common in Canada, but the automotive ones seem pretty rare. Both are quite pricey for what you get though...

Hey 4DSC:

Yeah these are the household mf towels, now that you mention it. There is no nap or loop. What a difference from the real ones. LOL

Thanks Bizzy928 for the offer, but i can walk to square one Dollar Rama and could definitely use the exercise. I have a friend's daughter that is a manager of one of those stores, and she will keep an eye out for any really plush mf's that come in.

The only thing the dollar tree here had was "polishing cloths", made in italy, but had no loop, they had a zig-zag stitch on them, felt pretty soft, but nowhere near MF quality, and no washing instructions....I think they were "scrub buddy" brand or something like that.

bummer.

here's the pic of Dollar tree MF :)

I picked up the last 11 at the Dollar General by my office at lunch. They felt nice, I'll give them a try when I get home.

What colour were the Dollarama MF Towels?

Was the package they were in sealed?

Or was it an open display package like the Yellow Dollar Tree MF towels?

Thanks!
