....there are several factors I would consider before making a final verdict on a product. A quick "garden hose" demo from someone I don't know using unknown methods to prep, apply, maintain, etc. is hardly conclusive IMHO. I will say that some don't find KSG all that durable with simply 1 or even 2 coats but they say results can dramatically change with a couple more (making sure to leave ample time between each for curing). ….one of those “factors” I would think about. Either way, I would recommend you do a thorough search on each and draw your own conclusions.
On a side note, I have used Zaino sealants for years (i.e. Z-5/pro, Z-2/pro) and while I felt they were decent products with good longevity, the ability to last several months is not a characteristic that is rare in the market (especially these days). The 2 coats of my $16 FK1000P I applied on my DD back in October is still “beading” today (except the roof that only had one coat. ….an observation I recently discovered a couple of others have shared about this product). At any rate, I personally feel it surpasses most products I have tried (incld. Zaino Z2/Z5) in regard to its ability to shed contaminants. ….one of several traits I value in a wax/sealant.
I always consider the source of the information/opinions/reviews I read. Reputation, attitude toward products/technologies/differing opinions in general (open-mindedness), experience, etc. are all things that influence what value I place on an individual’s input. Personally, I’ve read enough reviews to know that in many cases it’s a “YMMV” kind of thing. As long as you find what works for you, then that’s all that matters.
