My last car I owned was a 6-speed. This was pre-detailing obsession, so I took my car to the car wash every so often. I noticed the stick in the car felt much smoother through the gearbox when I came out of the car wash, but when I started to detail and wash my car later in it's life I stayed kinda sticky....
I assumed it's because the car wash sprays underneath your car with forced nozzles...but correct me if i'm wrong. I just bought a new 2006 A4 6-speed and wondering if I have to take it to the car wash to help clean up the gearbox?
Any advice?
