WOW! Since Saturday till today (Wednesday) I have been working a very nice gentleman’s collection. This guy knows his car stuff and is TRUE car enthusiast. I got a hold of 6 of his cars although he does have more. Because of the number of cars and pics, I simply limited the time I took for before and afters so for each car I generally included one of each. The pic I tried to capture in the before is pretty much what the rest of the car looked like. I’m kinda tired so bare with me as I skip some of the story and go straight to process and pics!

Interior Process was pretty much the same for all… Vacuum, clean carpets with Folex, Lexol Leather cleaner, water/woolite on vinyl, treated rubber/vinyl with 303 and leather with Zaino Leather.

First…. 1998 Mercedes SL500. Sat outside for the last 6 months and was extremely dirty on the outside.

Process –

Wash and clay

EC with Yellow Cut @ 1700 RPMS

Menzerna 106FF with polish pad @ 1500 RPMS

Collinite IW845

Third…. 1963 Jaguar XKE (Restored) Entire Car a repaint (obviously) so I had plenty of thickness to work with.

No wash since it was already clean.. QD wipe down and clay.

Fifth…. 2006 Mercedes S550 Bought 6 months ago, virtually no swirls but very dirty.

I basically just did a Wash/Wax/Vacuum (only two after pics)

Sixth…. 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS Most of the paint is original. Some areas of paint were cracked. I did a little more light polishing on this one because of the cracked paint in some areas and the thinness in others. ( I have paint gauge).

Wash and clay, then Menzerna 106FF with polish pad @ 1500 rpms.

RMG and then Souveran

ALL CARS - Tires all treated with Zaino tire gloss along with some exterior lower trim. Metals and chrome polished with Flitz. There are a lot of steps i did not list and products and what not. Understand im very tired! :) I spent about 60 hours the last five days getting these cars done!

Whew! Questions and comments as always. I will not answer questions about what my client does, what area he is in etc. for obvious reasons.

Also, a side note, the owner (along with the six cars I posted) has a 01 M5, Land Rover LH3, 73 Ferrari Daytona, Porshce 944 Turbo and a Jeep Wrangler CJ....talk about a collection!!!

Perfect work Chris! :bow :bow

Are those propel pads?

You don't use a handle on the 9227?

I believe half of my pads are LC and the other half are Wolfgang Labeled. I dont use any handles :)

wow amazing job as always

Which do you like better souveran or zymol?

Do you choose which cars get what LSP or the customer?

I like the Zymol better, but cant justify the price. I have the pebble beach sampler kit which the discountinued a while back but other than that I wouldnt purchase the Estate glazes at retail price unless i have a lot of money to burn. This particular customer was very nice accomodating me and taking me to lunch I felt some cars needed some extra special wax as a "gift."

wow, the color of the jag didn't come out until you brought it out in the sun. I was stunned! AMAZING work, would you have been able to tackle the swirls if you went with the orange pad instead of the yellow?
