on my passenger black leather seat, there is an imperfection of some sort that i thought could be removed with leather cleaner but wouldnt work. it looks like a scratch but you cant even feel it, so this leads me to believe it is either such a very small scratch or lexol wont remove it. any opinions?

does it look like an imperfection due to trauma?

or maybe it has always been there

how different is in in color to the rest of the leather (since you said it was the same in texture [you felt it])

Is it a different color, a different texture? I'm guessing slightly a bit of both, but not a hugely different texture, since you say you can't feel it.

My guess from what you've told us is that it is an imperfection in the hide that's been there since it was a cow. Cows routinely rub against sharp objects to scratch themselves, and damage their skin. Hides with bad imperfections will be graded lower in quality and probably not make it to the higher-end car market, but all hides will have some imperfections. Sounds like you spotted one that's gone through the curing, tanning, and dying process.

Might want someone who's in expert in leather look at it perosnally, or post a picture if possible, just to be sure.

Blue skies,
Andy

(Sorry for the camera phone pics. All I had since I had already put my camera up.)

Wow, a green Ferrari. Can't say that I've ever seen that before. Looks great though. I can't wait either :toetap05:
Yeah I'll get the full story for the write up but yeah there are only 4. Some guy in England wanted one painted in British Racing Green and Ferrari agreed only if 3 more were presold. I think 2 are owned by sheiks in the Middle East and the other by a movie star. Don't know who....yet.

I've been given a blank check on it and the ZR1. These are pure investments.
