Picus-I have noticed the same thing. The looks and slickness really hold on well.

Ditto, to bad I put some FK1 216 over it and then this last weekend some Adams Butter Wax.

JW stuff is unreal, have driven my car in last few days (garage queen) and usually it gets dusty quickly and gets crap in arches and road grime on bottom of doors

However it looks like I just washed it, took off a few bits of insect crap and a coat of prima hydro and cover it up again before more work

It's got six coats of AJ trigger and same of collinite marque wax and thanks to the prima/JW shampoo mix and prima slick, is staying just as slick as it was when I applied the last coat months ago.

What is recommended for JW....just the Prime and Jett, or Prime, Jett and Trigger for the minimum?

Prime or Prime Strong and either Acrylic Jett Trigger or Acrylic Jett. Should get excellent results with either of the Primes with either of the Acrylic Jetts.

Well, I have Menz PO85RD and XMT's for polishing/scratch removal, so I should be fine with regular Prime, right?

Jeff responded to an email I sent him....here it is for any that may have had the same question as I did:

"We get many customers moving from AIO to Prime, and we've never had anyone voice regret!

I'm almost out of my Klasse AIO, and I'm curious to try Prime. So I guess my question is:

1. I know the minimum I also need is Jett, but do I need Trigger along with Jett?

1. Our system is built around the 2 stage process of Prime and Jett. Within that, there are several combinations that can be made depending on which Prime and which Jett you choose. To answer the question though: no, Trigger is not mandatory to use along with A.Jett.

2. Do you consider Trigger as a stand alone product as an alternative to Jett, or more as a LSP/topper to Jett?

2. We developed Trigger as a limited edition, sprayable version of A.Jett. (Although it will become a permanent addition to our product line due to popularity!) Trigger was designed to be a fully functional protective product that would perform equal to original A.Jett and thus could be used in place of it. So yes, we do consider Trigger a stand-alone product! That said, the two do work very well together. Trigger makes a great, easy topcoat over original A.Jett. Some customers will actually apply A.Jett and then buff it off using Trigger. This both makes the buffing process easier and applies a second coat. Some folks feel this improves durability, but we have no hard data to support that.

3. I also use Pinnacle Crystal Mist spray wax and Natty's Blue, which I both love, so do you forsee any problems if I use either of those over Jett and/or Trigger?

3. While we do not test our products with those from any other manufacturer, we do find that Werkstatt products do "play well" with others! While we wouldn't use the Crystal Mist or Natty's underneath Werkstatt acrylic products, we wouldn't expect there to be any major issues using them over the top."

So, according to Jeff, I can go with either Jett or Trigger, depending on how one wants to apply it.

Hope that helps anyone with questions.... :2thumbs:

I plan on using my Klasse AIO topped with AJT. Is it best to top with the AGloss or will FK 425 or ClearKote QS be just as effective?

Yeah, I did a quik coat of AJ Trigger on one of the cars on Sunday. It was just fantastic - -just as fresh looing as when originally applied. Total time: about 10 mins.

I use Prime Acrylic and then use Acrylic Jett Trigger to remove it....To make it a little easier to remove I use a terry bonnet on a Orbital Buffer...My Black car looks amazing

Update:

OK, we're at the 8 month mark now. I really hadn't intended to let it go so long, but it's hard for me to capture the car on the weekend as it's typically in use the entire day.

Overall, I've been very pleased with the WS experience. I'll say it lasts as long as Klasse and that was a primary goal. OTOH, I think it looks superior to Klasse, especially when the car is dirty. For me, that's a big bonus.

Here's what I did:

Preliminary decontamination step with FK119 followed by a wash with their neutralizing shampoo. I really like FK119...I think it's an excellent time saver as it does clean a lot of junk from the lower panels. The crap it doesn't remove is somewhat easier to clean off. I did not clay the car. I seemed to get good cleaning action from the WS Prime.

The FK119 really knocks down any remaining sealant. The car was beading quite nicely prior to application of the FK119. The surface was by no means unprotected.

Post FK119 and 118SC washes:

Typical crud this car accumulates:

I guess the surfaces were dirty than I imagined. This is my orange pad only 1/2 way thru the process. It was dirty enough that I put a clean pad on.

Coming back to life:

I really appreciate the fact that I can go over glass and plastic lenses with these modern products. It's another time-saver and the surfaces look great.

I ended up doing a coat of the FK pink wax on the entire vehicle except the roof. I did a 2nd coat of Trigger on the roof.

One thing that concerned me was how dirty the surface was and how much junk was transferring to the PC pads. Even when on was on my LSP pink wax, the pad was noticeably dirty when done. I've never had a session where I went thru all my PC pads.

Obviously the surface is much brighter now, superior reflectivity.

I guess the WS is about 8 months old on this car, too. There's really no degradation in the surface finish. The beading is still as good as when the WS was first applied:

Car washes up very easily, quick to dry.

I washed with Meg's #00 and did a rapid PC application of CG's 5050 which I haven't worked with previously. I spent about 1 hour total incl. wash time.

This was just a quikee. Surface is extremely smooth following application of the 5050. I don't find it to be oily like Paste Glaz, etc. The surface looks great, I think the 5050 is a product in search of a dark car in excellent condition. I found some minor improvement in gloss and reflectivity, the camera isn't going to capture it.

The 5050 is a very easy to work with. I started to apply by hand but found I could not get uniform coating since the WS was still so slick. I had the PC out from the previous day and just went at it using a finishing pad.

Not suprised with your findings. More than a few of my customer's cars have gone several months with a Prime and a single application of AJ or AJT and still bead well, have noticable slickness and still look really good.

Thanks for the update and pics. :)

Funny. I just used 5050 wax over JW Acrylic prime and AJ yesterday. I want to think that 5050 makes it look better on the lexus but I have no idea.

Question for you guru's out there. If I apply AJ then 5050 wax. Can I reapply AJ a month down to road (over 5050)? Or do I have to go back to prime etc?

why not continue with subsequent applications of 5050 until you really need to get things cleaned up again?

Thanks, my pleasure, Scott.

yeah, I am 110% satisfied with the WS products I purchased. I really couldn't ask for anything more. :)

I just did another coat of 5050 today. either I am out there or it looks darker today?? I think you and Scott are the ones that sucked me into JW products. God, I love them.

LOL, let's blame Scott! :buffing: Yeah, it's gonna be hard to top these products.

Wow, that is pretty impressive. Prime:Acrylic and AJ are on my fathers garage queen BMW right now, but aside from still looking nearly freshly applied, the beading isn't really all that impressive, IMO. Still pretty slick, though.
