Confused about Clearkote products

I'm having a hard time discerning the difference between a few of their products.



Moose Wax... is this just a cleaner/wax? Isn't that what VM is?



Vanilla Moose Glaze... is this more abrasive than Moose Wax, and requires a layer of wax on top? Would you use Moose Wax on top or their carnauba wax?



Red Machine Glaze... not real sure at all about this one.

1. Regular (brown) Moose Wax is a cleaner wax with chemical cleaners.



2. Vanilla Moose is more of a cleaner than a wax even though it does have protective properties. It has both very light abrasives and chemical cleaners and a lot more oils than Moose wax. You can use it on its own but it works best when topped by Carnauba Moose.



3. Red Machine Glaze has polishing oils and light chemical cleaning properties. It adds depth and deepens the color of the paint. It also has less oils than VM so should enable most sealants to bond better to it than VM. It also has no protective properties and must be topped with a wax or sealant.



If you were going to use all three, it would be in this order: VM>RMG>CMW



Moose wax works best on its own as a true cleaner wax. I mostly use it on door jams and wheels but it does do a decent job as a one step.

Wont RMG take the VM off?

Where does the yellow creme fall into this?
 
Detail Girl: RMG will remove what little wax VM has in it but will leave the finish darker and deeper. VM is used for removing and/or filling very light swirling. It is an awesome combo!!

Over kill yes, but Its my hobbey and I enjoy playing around!
 
To right!- Other peoples cars get AIO and SG or AG SRP and EGP most the time from me.



The thread above messing with the new clearkote bits was on my own baby.

I think he means sealants that are pretty strict about oils like SG and Zaino. Most other ones are fine...

I will if they are willing to pay for it. I'd use the VM/RMG/YCW/CMW if I was doing show prep or really wanted that last 5-10 % of superior depth and wetness.

VM and RMG are confusing me. Do they act as a glaze at all or is "glaze" just part of the names? I am going to buy one or the other to be a base for the new EX-P but cannot decide which one to buy. Have you used RMG on light colors and if so, which do you prefer, VM or RMG?
 
RMG is a true glaze, VM is a glaze/wax. I prefer RMG unless you have some very light swirls that need to be removed (light!) since VM does have light abrasives and RMG's cleaning properties are chemical. VM is a bit brighter looking, RMG appears wetter to me.

Tell me about it. After trying some samples, I either have ordered or will in the near future, Optimum Car Wax and Polish, Collinte 845, Pink Wax, Glanz Wax, Poorboy's SSR line and a few others.
